The 52-year-old actress revealed to ET the inspiration behind her premiere style.

Marisa Tomei took a style cue from her Spider-Man: Homecoming character, May Parker, when she hit the red carpet on Wednesday for the film's premiere in Los Angeles, California.

The 52-year-old actress turned heads in a sheer, multi-colored Zuhair Murad dress, which caught the attention of ET's Nischelle Turner. "My friends call me May," Tomei told Turner when asked about her stunning style.

Tomei also opened up about what she thinks sets Spider-Man apart from other superheroes. "I think that the Spider-Man in general, the origin story, does have a purpose because it's a local hero," the Oscar winner noted. "He's almost a community activist with super powers."

Tom Holland portrays Tomei's nephew, Peter Parker (a.k.a. Spider-Man), and spoke to ET about what it means to be taking on such an iconic role. "I'm losing my mind right now," the 21-year-old star said of the star-studded premiere. "This is so surreal. My whole like, last three years has been leading up to this moment and we're here today and I can't believe it. I genuinely can't believe it."
