Matt LeBlanc is back on the small screen with the clever Showtime comedy "Episodes," and we're flashing back to his first-ever interview with ET!

Back in 1991 before his phenomenal "Friends" success, a fresh-faced Matt starred in the "Married…with Children" spinoff "Top of the Heap" opposite Joey Lauren Adams, Rita Moreno and Joseph Bologna.

Admittedly nervous to be working with screen vets and accomplished stars such as Ed O'Neill and Christina Applegate, Matt gushed when we asked him how he felt about possibly being the next TV "heartthrob."

"If it's going to be said that I follow in their shoes -- the next Richard Grieco or Johnny Depp -- then that's fine. Those guys are both making a lot of money right now. They've got good careers going."

Asked about the prospect of getting chased down by fans, Matt replied, "I don't think I'd look forward to it. I guess I wouldn't be able to complain, though, would I?"

"I don't get confused with my work life and my personal life. You know, they're two very separate things," he continued. "Maybe that's because I'm still pretty new and I haven't been an actor for years and years and years. Maybe later on I'll lose my mind, but not right now."
