ET Flashback '03: 'American Idol'

Randy Jackson is holding his own as the sole veteran judge of the new "American Idol" with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, and we're flashing back to 2003, when "Idol" was ready to ramp up its third season.

"Still a lot of delusional people out there," said Randy, with Simon Cowell declaring, "Lots of people who can't sing, thinking they can."

The first focus of the press conference, however, was on Randy's new, slimmer look. Host Ryan Seacrest commented, "Thinner and sexier Randy, isn't he?" as Paula Abdul patted her pal. Although Randy would not yet reveal how much weight he'd lost, he said, "I feel so good."

And when asked if Randy would call anybody anything else besides "Dawg," he responded, "Uh, kitty cat?"
