ET Flashback '93: Jane Lynch
By DAVID WEINER
September 23, 2011
Way before Jane Lynch became a household name as Coach Sue Sylvester on Glee, she cut her teeth doing sketch comedy and improv, and we have her first-ever ET interview!
In 1993, Jane played iconic TV mom Carol Brady in The Real Live Brady Bunch, a hilarious stage version of the classic sitcom, and Jane told us, "It's one of the only television shows that you can do on stage the way we do it because the writing is so bad and it just kind of amplifies how bad it is."
The real live Carol Brady, Florence Henderson, was scheduled to catch the stage show, and Jane said she was looking forward to meeting the actress: "Maybe she can give me some pointers on how to play Carol," said Jane. "I bet she'll like [the show]. She seems like a nice woman."
