A schoolteacher (Helen Hunt) eager to start a family finds her life turned upside-down by a series of highly irregular events: She's unexpectedly ditched by her husband (Matthew Broderick), finally meets her eccentric, talk-show host birth mother (Bette Midler), and makes the acquaintance of a divorced dad (Colin Firth) who's smitten with her. Hunt makes her feature film directorial debut with this all-star comedy, arriving on DVD with bonus features like cast interviews, director's commentary, behind-the-scenes footage and theatrical trailers.
