Richard Gere and Diane Lane put their chemistry to the test a third time with 'Rodanthe' (first co-starring in 'The Cotton Club' in 1984 and then 18 years later in 'Unfaithful'), the story of a married mother (Lane) who travels to a tiny North Carolina coastal town to escape her personal demons. Tending to a friend's inn for the weekend, she finds herself weathering a major storm with an enticing doctor (Gere) -- and igniting a romance that could change their lives forever. The film is based on the book by best-selling The Notebook novelist Nicholas Sparks.
Special features include alternate scenes with director commentary, behind-the-scenes featurettes including a look at Nicholas Sparks, a look at Emmy Lou Harris' song for the film, a Gavin Rossdale music video and a digital copy of the movie.
