Break Time
During a break in filming their movie 'A Place in the Sun,' Taylor chats with her co-star Montgomery Clift on the Paramount lot in Los Angeles in 1950. The two remained close friends until Clift's death in 1966. Taylor went on to save his life in 1956, after the 'From Here to Eternity' actor smashed his car into a telephone pole following a party at her house (Taylor removed his shattered teeth from his throat, and kept him from choking).
