1934: Cary Grant and Virginia Cherrill
At the Academy Awards in 1934, film's most charming man Cary Grant poses with his first of five wives Virginia Cherrill, most known for starring in Charlie Chaplin's 'City Lights' in 1931. The British-born Grant was named AFI's second Greatest Male Star of All Time of American Cinema, and is most known for his classic films, 'The Philadelphia Story,' 'North by Northwest,' 'Notorious,' 'To Catch A Thief,' and 'Bringing Up Baby.'
