The woman behind the fashion, Edith Head, poses here with six of her Oscars for Costume Design. The designer was Fashion Chief at Paramount Pictures until 1967 and is responsible for Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Doris Day and many others' most iconic film looks. Nominated for a total of 35 Academy Awards, Head went on to win two more Oscars for Costume Design for a total of eight -- making her the most Oscar-winning woman in history.
