The 'You Make It Feel Like Christmas' singer says she convinced her beau to accept the honor.

Gwen Stefani is standing by her man!

The "You Make It Feel Like Christmas" singer was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, where she opened up about her boyfriend of two years, Blake Shelton, receiving People's "Sexiest Man Alive" honor. The No Doubt rocker revealed that she actually had a lot to do with him accepting the honor.

"I feel totally responsible because he's so not that person," she joked. "He doesn't even like to do a photo shoot. You can never convince him to do it."

As for all the haters who have been criticizing the magazine's decision?

"It was just chaos, craziness," Stefani admitted. "If you think about it, what defines sexy? It really is so personal, you know what I mean? For me, it's just that big ol' heart and that sense of humor. He doesn't even take himself seriously, and he's just such an incredible person. And that's sexy to me."

Stefani, 48, and Shelton, 41, started dating in November 2015 after the two called it quits from their spouses, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert. Host Ellen DeGeneres asked Stefani if they would have gotten together years ago, had she met him earlier.

"I still can't believe that," Stefani said, shaking her head in disbelief. "No."

At one point in the show, Stefani also opened up about the wildfires that broke out in Southern California this week. She said she was home alone at the time, as Shelton was traveling.

"I'm OK," the blond beauty said. "Literally Blake flew out the morning of [the fires] and I'm like, 'You're going to leave me here in the fire? Like, this is crazy.'"

"My little boy, what I was really proud of is, Kingston kept me texting me," she said of her eldest 11-year-old son. "He was like, 'Mom, I'm praying for you. I hope that God puts a forcefield around us and the winds blow the other way.' He was getting very, like... because we were scared. It's scary and who knows what's going to happen next."

DeGeneres revealed she had to evacuate her Santa Barbara home, as did Lea Michele. ET caught up with the actress at The Hollywood Reporter's Power 100 Women in Entertainment breakfast on Wednesday, where she opened up about the blazes that have torn through homes and neighborhoods, forcing thousands to evacuate their residences.
