When Betty Applewhite moved on to Wisteria Lane, it was clear that Susan's new "Desperate Housewives" neighbor had some deep, dark secret. As we learned more about Betty and her son Matthew, we discovered they were keeping someone prisoner in their basement.
On Sunday night, Caleb, the mystery man who is being held prisoner, was revealed. It seems he's on the run from the law for possibly killing a teen girl in Chicago.
When "Desperate Housewives" begins airing its second season on ABC this fall, FELICITY HUFFMAN, who plays Lynette, won't be a housewife any more. She is headed back to the work force and her hubby will play Mr. Mom.
"What can I tell you?" she says when asked for some season two spoilers. "I get to wear some better clothes. I get to wear some rockin' suits. And Tom (DOUG SAVANT) gets to wear pajamas covered in jam, so I think it is a fair trade."
The "Desperate Housewives" are back to work on the second season of ABC's phenomenal hit series, premiering Sunday, Sept. 25, and the only tip that TERI HATCHER will give us for the new season is: "I think all the ladies' characters get all sorts of opportunities to explore all different levels."
That may have satisfied the former "Lois & Clark" star's need for season two inside info, but we need to know more! ET reported earlier that JOELY FISHER will be joining the cast as Lynette's (FELICITY HUFFMAN) new boss and that ALFRE WOODARD, who showed up in the first season finale, will be playing a piano teacher with a very dark secret.
There were only three couples left when the two-hour finale of the seventh season of the "Amazing Race" began last night: engaged couple ROB and AMBER, husband and wife UCHENNA and JOYCE and dating couple RON and KELLY. But it was a sense of "amazing grace" that led to the $1 million prize for the winners of the race -- Uchenna and Joyce!
"I heard everybody's prayers for us," said a tearful Joyce at the finish line, as she and Uchenna thanked the other teams who cheered for their win. "This experience wouldn't be what it was without you guys," added Uchenna.
