ET has confirmed that KRISTOPHER BRATT, the 20-year-old nephew of actor BENJAMIN BRATT died after a Tuesday morning car accident in San Francisco.
San Francisco police confirm to ET that both Kristopher and another man, ALFONSO CORTEZ, 36, died after a vehicle being followed by police ran a red light and broadsided the car they were riding in at approximately 4 a.m.
"Grey's Anatomy" star ELLEN POMPEO and "E-Ring" headliner BENJAMIN BRATT will be joining SAG President ALAN ROSENBERG at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, Jan. 5, to announce the 12th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees. The SAG Awards will be simulcast Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m.
From executive producer JERRY BRUCKHEIMER and Oscar® nominated director/producer TAYLOR HACKFORD comes "E-Ring," an inside look at the Pentagon, starring BENJAMIN BRATT and DENNIS HOPPER, which just received a full-season pick-up from NBC.
The number one mission of the "E-Ring" is the survival of the United States, and Major Jim "J.T." Tisnewski (Benjamin) and Colonel McNulty (Dennis) are part of the essential team whose job it is to keep the world safe. The action takes place within the "E-Ring," where intelligence officers can determine the fate of the world based on information provided by their global intelligence network.
BENJAMIN BRATT may play a natural born leader onscreen in the WWII drama 'The Great Raid,' but at home he has an even tougher mission: to be a good family man. The versatile actor sits down with ET's own LEONARD MALTIN to talk about his new military adventure, his upcoming TV show and fatherhood!
"It leaves you kind of dumbstruck," says the father of a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, with another one on the way. "I still find it really hard to articulate the kinds of feelings that come up from being a father, and the love that my daughter generates inside of me. Maybe because it's at a depth and a level that I never knew existed before."
Versatile star BENJAMIN BRATT commands a battalion of courageous soldiers on one of the most daring missions in the latter days of World War II in 'The Great Raid,' based on an incredible true story, and the stars came out for the star-studded Hollywood premiere!
"It's extremely important to all of us who had the honor of participating in it," Bratt recently told ET. "It's has historical magnitude. We're telling a truly heroic American tale."
The launch of the fall TV season marks the end of the big summer of reality series, so pop the popcorn, park yourself on the sofa, grab the remote and get ready for the new season of scripted dramas.
"With all the new shows coming out, there are a lot of great shows coming up that remind us there is great writing in television," says DEBRA BIRNBAUM, executive editor of Inside TV.
NBC, which slipped from first place to fourth in the oh-so-important 18-49 demo in the 2004-2005 season, is ramping up its new fall lineup with three new dramas, one new comedy and two unscripted series, including the previously announced "The Apprentice: MARTHA STEWART," in its attempt to reclaim its title.
"We're very excited and encouraged by the lineup we're presenting today," said JEFF ZUCKER, NBC president, NBC Universal Television Group.
'Catwoman,' the frisky, fun flick in theaters now, features three comely stars -- HALLE BERRY, SHARON STONE, and BENJAMIN BRATT. Tonight on ET, our JANN CARL chats with Ben about marriage, being a dad, and taking on his two, catty co-stars!
"Essentially I had to get my a$$ kicked by [Stone] and by Halle," he confesses. "So if you have to get you're a$$ kicked by anybody, it might as well be them!"
Super-slinky HALLE BERRY is clawing at the big screen opposite SHARON STONE as 'Catwoman,' in theaters Friday, and our own JANN CARL was on the red carpet with the feisty femme fatales!
Arriving in a black Jaguar, Halle ditched the leather catsuit for a gorgeous, multi-colored ROBERTO CAVALLI dress as she told Jann she was overwhelmed by the turnout for her premiere: "Is this crazy or what!? It's a good feeling that so many people have come out to support us!" She also revealed that she took her killer costume home -- including that black whip! "I didn't want it to end up on e-bay so I demanded I keep it! It's something that'll have meaning to me as the years go on. I can say I once wore this -- that might be pretty impressive to my grandkids!"
HALLE BERRY is scratching up the big screen this summer as 'Catwoman,' in theaters July 23, and we've got Halle's all-new, frisky interview!
"This [film] came on when I was struggling with some really life-changing decisions that I was forced to face," Halle tells our own JANN CARL, "and being Catwoman, and feeling empowered every single day, in a very real, profound way helped me make some tough personal decisions."
The fur flies when corporate bad girl SHARON STONE (Laura Hedare) gets caught in HALLE BERRY's cat's eye in this summer's girl-power flick, 'Catwoman,' as the two women battle it out to be top cat. In this updated take, a major departure from the DC Comics version, the Caped Crusader is nowhere to be seen, and the girls rule. That isn't to say there isn't a leading man. There is in the form of police detective Tom Lone (BENJAMIN BRATT), who is dating Halle's non-superhero character, Patience, as well as developing an interest in the leather-wearing, whip-carrying Catwoman.
"The film is about stripping off the mask and about busting out of the idea that you have to be something you are not, and that is cool," Sharon tells ET. "What is cool is it is for kids and grownups. The theme of the movie is to be who you are."
