Paging Dr. Ford! Newly engaged Oscar nominee Harrison Ford is back in front of cameras in an all-new emotional drama starring opposite Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell, and ET was the only show invited to the Portland, Oregon set to see the stars in action!
A joyous birth and catastrophic illness rocks the Walker family on a special two-part "Brothers & Sisters," and ET is on the set with Calista Flockhart and Sally Field to get the deal on the exciting turn of events!
ET was exclusively behind the scenes when "Brothers & Sisters" filmed its season finale -- and now we can show you the history-making television event before it airs on Sunday night.
ABC's Sunday night hit, "Brothers and Sisters," is back to work on April 20th, and we joined SALLY FIELD, CALISTA FLOCKHART and PATRICIA WETTIG on the set for a sneak peek!
The Walker family returns for more dysfunctional family fun on Sunday, April 20, and ET was on the set as the cast and crew returned to work.
"It feels great to be back," SALLY FIELD, who plays Nora Walker, tells ET. "Great for me, great for the industry, great for the country and just generally great."
Kitty (CALISTA FLOCKHART) and Senator Robert McCallister (ROB LOWE) take a break from campaigning to get married -- and while many think it is a shotgun wedding, because Kitty is pregnant -- the truth is, the couple was engaged before she got pregnant.
When "Brothers & Sisters" premiered this fall, a lot of critics predicted the show was in trouble because of all the changes in cast and production that took place before the series made it to the air. But the show about a dysfunctional family in Los Angeles has gone on to prove them wrong, and is one of the few new fall dramas that has succeeded in consistently finding an audience.
CALISTA FLOCKHART, RACHEL GRIFFITHS, SALLY FIELD and PATRICIA WETTIG form the distaff side of the cast; while BALTHAZAR GETTY, DAVE ANNABLE, MATTHEW RHYS, JOHN PYPER-FERGUSON and RON RIFKIN raise the testosterone level. Oh yes, and ROB LOWE has joined the cast in the recurring role of Senator McCallister, Calista's new boss and love interest.
ROB LOWE is looking to become a romantic interest for CALISTA FLOCKHART when the former "West Wing" star joins the cast of ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" for six episodes as conservative Senator Robert McCallister.
Lowe's first airdate is Sunday, Nov. 19 at 10 p.m., in the "Mistakes Were Made" episode on which Kitty Walker (Flockhart) interviews him for her TV show. Needless to say, sparks fly.
"Ugly Betty" executive producer SALMA HAYEK moves from behind the scenes to in front of the camera for several episodes of the hit ABC series, beginning Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. Hayek will play Sofia Reyes, a newcomer to Mode, who makes a lasting impression on Betty (AMERICA FERRERA) and Daniel (ERIC MABIUS). Technically, it isn't Salma's first appearance on the series, which has been given a full-season pickup. Eagle-eyed viewers may have caught her performance on the telenovela on the TV set in Betty's living room in the series premiere.
It's no secret in Hollywood that the best roles for women 40 and over are found on television. This fall is no exception, as glam gals such as MARG HELGENBERGER ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation"), 47; CALISTA FLOCKHART ("Brothers & Sisters"), 41; LAUREN HOLLY ("NCIS"), 42; and VANESSA WILLIAMS ("Ugly Betty"), 43, heat up the small screen! Vanessa reveals how she does it!
"I have a great trainer," says the former beauty queen, who admits to cheating occasionally on her low-carb diet with everything from M&Ms to ice cream. "I started training about three years ago. I was doing my regular routine, but I was losing muscle tone, and, as a dancer, I have always had muscle and definition. So, I started lifting weights and it really made a difference to speed up my metabolism, but it also carves the body."
ABC has three of the hottest TV shows on the tube right now: "Grey's Anatomy," "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives." That doesn't mean the alphabet network can rest on its laurels, so for the fall, it has announced that it is picking up several pilots.
Dramas: TAYE DIGGS, who spent a season on UPN in "Kevin Hill," returns to the small screen to headline "Day Break," the story of a cop who has been framed for murder. Also making a return to TV is "Ally McBeal" star CALISTA FLOCKHART as an outspoken radio personality swept up in a wave of family drama in "Brothers & Sisters." From "Sex and the City" writer JENNY BICKS comes "Men in Trees," which follows the misadventures of a relationship coach (ANNE HECHE) who fails to follow her own advice.
With the end of shows like "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Friends," there are a number of TV veterans out of work -- but not for long! Small-screen faves like PATRICIA HEATON and MATTHEW PERRY are heading back to the tube with all-new pilots. TV Guide's CRAIG TOMASHOFF reveals where you may be seeing the top stars this Fall!
"Primetime TV loves its handful of people," he says. "Once you're in, you're in -- they'll always use you. If you have somebody people know you're going to automatically get people tuning in."
