Jackie O's Birthday

If JACQUELINE KENNEDY ONASSIS were alive today -- July 28 -- the former first lady would be celebrating her 77th birthday. In honor of the event, ET and SHELLY BRANCH, an editor at the Wall Street Journal and co-author of What Would Jackie Do? An Inspired Guide to Distinctive Living, visited 1040 Fifth Avenue, the building that was Jackie O's home for the final years of her life.

"Jackie remains an icon because she remains a modern woman," Shelly tells ET. "This is someone who reinvented herself way before MADONNA. This is someone who was popular with style trends, with trends in the arts and culture and who really made a difference on the American social scene."
