ET confirms that DERMOT MULRONEY and CATHERINE KEENER's 16-year marriage will officially end on December 19, 2007.
In divorce papers filed on October 30, 2007, the parties agree to abide by a confidential marital settlement agreement. The papers state that the couple will share joint custody of their son, CLYDE, 8, and that there will be no child or spousal support awarded to either.
DERMOT MULRONEY has filed for divorce from his wife of over 16 years, CATHERINE KEENER.
The couple, who have a seven-year-old son, CLYDE, separated over two years ago, but Dermot ('My Best Friend's Wedding') filed for divorce from Catherine ('Being John Malkovich') on June 8.
It was a friendly reunion as STEVEN COJOCARU had a candid chat with JENNIFER ANISTON about her brand-new movie, 'Friends with Money.'
But first -- Cojo addressed the rumors that Hollywood's fave golden girl might consider moving out of Los Angeles. "I've thought about it a lot for a long time," she tells Cojo. "This is not the most pleasurable place all the time ... because of all the bull ... it's exhausting, it's silly. I love my job, [but] I don't like all this other stuff that is kind of growing [the tabloids] -- people watching it, reading it, people feed it by throwing money at it. It's like a cancer growing."
PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN has been making waves and snagging awards for his top-notch performance as famed writer TRUMAN CAPOTE ever since the Oscar®-nominated 'Capote' hit theaters last fall. When the In Cold Blood author wasn't working away at a book, he made a number of memorable appearances on "The Tonight Show." We go inside his lost interview with JOHNNY CARSON from more than 30 years ago.
"Have you ever been ripped off?" Johnny asks the charismatic Capote.
JENNIFER ANISTON had a new set of "friends" as she returned to the indie film scene with 'Friends with Money,' her new film that opened the Sundance Film Festival Thursday night.
Jen arrived to her chilly premiere looking fresh and rested in a grey scarf and cozy Northface jacket -- to keep her warm amidst temps that dipped down to just 17 degrees! She then cuddled up on the icy carpet with pals ROBERT REDFORD, CATHERINE KEENER and JOAN CUSACK.
The various films they starred in may or may have not been hits in '05, but their performances in them sure were memorable! We look at some actors who stole the show in supporting roles.
Fifty years after her big-screen debut at age 21 in ALFRED HITCHCOCK's 'The Trouble With Harry,' Oscar® winner SHIRLEY MacLAINE has staged a comeback of sorts with three movies in 2005. The 71-year-old veteran co-starred with some of today's hottest leading ladies and stole practically every scene she was in. Last summer, she played CAMERON DIAZ and TONI COLLETTE's grandmother in 'In Her Shoes'; She played another grandmother who may have been the inspiration for 'The Graduate''s Mrs. Robinson in 'Rumor Has It...' opposite JENNIFER ANISTON, in theaters now; and she also played NICOLE KIDMAN's thunder-stealing co-star in the big-screen version of 'Bewitched.' Proof in the pudding, this coming weekend Shirley will be honored at the Palm Springs Film Festival, and she's also landed a Supporting Actress Golden Globe® nomination for her 'In Her Shoes' performance.
Autumn is officially here and the Oscar® contenders are beginning to roll out opposite the crowd-pleasers, from 'Prize Winner' and 'Capote' to 'Into the Blue' and 'Serenity.' Here's a taste of some of the films opening at the multiplex this weekend:
Time warping back to the '50s, four-time Academy Award® nominee JULIANNE MOORE is 'The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio.' Based on a true story, Julianne plays Evelyn Ryan, an endlessly optimistic mother of 10 who struggles to make ends meet by entering various jingle contests. Despite an alcoholic husband (WOODY HARRELSON), mounting bills and the possibility that she may lose the roof over her head, Evelyn consistently manages to defy the odds due to her remarkable resourcefulness and an uncommon wit.
So what was it really like to step into the shoes of 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'? ET sat down with the man of the hour, STEVE CARELL, to find out all about his racy new romantic comedy, which scored again on its second date, winning the box-office with $16.4 million over the weekend!
In the movie, Steve plays ANDY STITZER, a relatively average, nice guy with a huge secret -- he has never had sex! When his gang of buddies uncover this startling information, they make it their mission to help Andy experience his first time.
Saucy Aussie NICOLE KIDMAN took on the Big Apple Tuesday night as she rolled down the star-studded red carpet for the New York premiere of the highly anticipated thriller 'The Interpreter.' And the movie topped the box-office during its debut weekend with $22.8 million! Kidman revealed the truth about certain rumors being interpreted about her!
"Oh, I'm not engaged!" Nicole tells our VANESSA MINNILLO, responding to the stories that she's marrying producer STEVE BING. "I'd like to say that straight from the horse's mouth -- but then that would make me a horse!"
