"Good Morning America" Entertainment Editor JOEL SIEGEL died Friday afternoon in New York. He was 63. His death came after a long battle with colon cancer.
Siegel, who had family and friends by his bedside, including his wife, ENA SWANSEA, and his young son DYLAN, had worked until two weeks prior to his passing. He was known in the industry for his good humor, even as he gave honest yet sometimes piercing reviews.
JERRY FALWELL died Tuesday at Lynchburg General Hospital in Virginia. He was 73.
Upon hearing of his passing, PAT ROBERTSON released a statement to ET, saying, "My wife and I have sent our condolences to [wife] MACEL FALWELL and her family ... I join with the tens of thousands of his friends to mourn the passing of this extraordinary human being."

ANNA NICOLE SMITH died of an accidental overdose, officials announced this morning.

The sons of a woman killed in a car accident that was allegedly triggered by the singer/actress BRANDY NORWOOD are suing the star and others involved in the accident for negligence and wrongful death, requesting that damages be determined by the court.
Norwood is named in the suit, along with others who are referred to as "Does 1 to 25" (as in John or Jane Doe).

LARRY BIRKHEAD, the man who claims to be the father of ANNA NICOLE SMITH's baby girl DANNIELYNN HOPE, has written a heartfelt message to the late supermodel on his personal Web site:

The parents of the deceased, AWATIF ABOUDIHAJ, filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Van Nuys, asking for compensatory and punitive damages totaling $50 million. The plaintiffs claim in the court papers that Norwood was "driving recklessly" at the time of the accident.
