ET was with Latin sensation Thalia at her book-signing event Thursday night in New York City, where the beauty reacted to the news that Chaz Bono, full name Chastity Bono, is in the process of transitioning from a female to a male.
"Celebrity Fit Club" is half-way through its third season, and despite the best efforts of several of its team members, the pounds just aren't pouring off. So what's a girl to do? If you're CHASTITY BONO, you get a little help from your life partner, JENNIFER ELIA, who hires trainers to come and work out with Chas.
When the doorbell rings the first morning at 7 a.m., a groggy Chastity doesn't know what's going on. But Jennifer has hired an expert to take the 'Fit' Clubber on a long bike ride to jump start her metabolism and enable her to lose more than one-pound at the next weigh-in.
It's an emotional episode of "Celebrity Fit Club," airing Sundays at 9 p.m. on VH1, when two of the clubbers share their heartache with Dr. LINDA PAPADOPOULOS, a psychologist from the London Metropolitan University and author of Mirror Mirror, a book on body image, who provides psychological counseling for the series.
First up is GUNNAR NELSON, who joined "Celebrity Fit Club" in episode three when JEFF CONAWAY, who was captain of the Greased Lightning team, entered rehab. With the loss of Jeff, and the appointment of KELLY LeBROCK as the new captain, the team changed its name to Kelly's Bellies.
After an intervention by Dr. DREW PINSKY, JEFF CONAWAY checks himself into rehab for his addiction problem on Sunday night's "Celebrity Fit Club," airing on VH1 at 9 p.m. His departure creates an opening on the Greased Lightning team, but only for a short time.
First, "Woman in Red" star KELLY LeBROCK is named the new team captain, and while she is reluctant to do so, she accepts at the urging of her two remaining teammates: "Cosby" kid TEMPESTT BLEDSOE and hip-hop wild man BIZARRE.
On the third episode of "Celebrity Fit Club," airing Sundays at 9 p.m. on VH1, the JEFF CONAWAY crisis goes from bad to worse when the former "Taxi" star winds up in the emergency room.
The situation is so serious that the staff of "Fit Club" arranges for Jeff to meet with intervention specialist Dr. DREW PINSKY, who says, "You are so depressed, you don't care if you die."
Ebony Flame faces off against Greased Lightning when VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" airs the second episode of its third season Sunday night at 11 p.m.
Ebony Flame is captained by CHASTITY BONO and includes BRUCE VILANCH, COUNTESS VAUGHN and YOUNG MC; while Greased Lightning is comprised of team captain JEFF CONAWAY, KELLY LeBROCK, TEMPESTT BLEDSOE and BIZARRE.
VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" is back with its third cycle, premiering Sunday, Jan. 1 at 9 p.m., and this time out CHASTITY BONO is among the eight competitors who hope to lose weight in the public eye. Season 2 alum JACKÉE is ET's special reporter, covering all the action for the new group. After all, who better to understand what the eight weight-challenged celebs are going through? For her first task, Jackée goes one-on-one with CHER's little girl, Chastity, who tipped the scales at more than 200 pounds.
When they sat down to talk, Jackée couldn't resist asking why Chastity was trying for a makeover in such a public format.
