Actress ANNE HECHE requested and was granted a temporary reprieve in paying her child and spousal support obligations to her ex, COLEY LAFFOON, and her son, HOMER.
In a declaration made to the court, Heche said that her business manager had informed her that she only had $34,840.93 in "all of her accounts" and that if she continued her support payments of $14,798 per month, she would "have a deficit of more than $6,000 by May 31, 2008." She also wrote that she has $364,000 of legal,
accounting and other personal debt.

Real-life couple ANNE HECHE and JAMES TUPPER are busy at work for the second season of their hit ABC show, "Men in Trees," but they made time for ET as we visited them on the Canadian set.
"I think our show was quirky the first season. Now I think, because all these characters have been introduced and explored so fully with the first season, we actually get to get deeper into their lives," Anne tells ET. "It's not as quirky, it's more of a deeper exploration."
ANNE HECHE is responding to divorce papers filed by her estranged husband, COLEY LAFFOON, who alleges that she is "bizarre and delusional."
In her papers, Heche asks for temporary sole custody of their son, HOMER, with reasonable visitation by Laffoon. She also asks that Homer be allowed to attend kindergarten in Vancouver, Canada, in the fall, where she films her television show, "Men in Trees."
ET has obtained new divorce and child custody documents filed by ANNE HECHE's estranged husband, COLEY LAFFOON, who alleges that the "Men in Trees" star is "bizarre and delusional."
In the papers, Laffoon describes Heche as an unsuitable mom who refuses to seek help for her reported psychological issues, saying she "has at times exhibited bizarre and delusional behavior for which she refuses to seek professional help."
ET confirms that the husband of "Men in Trees" star ANNE HECHE has filed for divorce.
COLEY LAFFOON filed divorce papers in Los Angeles this week, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. Laffoon also asks for spousal support and requests joint custody of their four-year-old son, HOMER. Anne and Coley were married in 2001.
Sources tell ET that ANNE HECHE has left her husband, COLEY LAFFOON, for her "Men in Trees" co-star JAMES TUPPER.
Heche's rep confirms that she and Laffoon have separated. The two were married in 2001 and have a son together. The rep issued this statement: "Actress Anne Heche and her husband Coleman Laffoon have decided to separate after five years of marriage. They have requested that they be allowed their privacy at this time."
