ABC's "Desperate Housewives," starring Marcia Cross as Bree Hodge, Eva Longoria Parker as Gabrielle Solis, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer and Dana Delany as Katherine Mayfair, returns for its sixth season on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
A new family moves onto Wisteria Lane when "Desperate Housewives" returns this season, and ET gets the inside scoop from Jeffrey Nordling, who plays Nick Vitale, husband to Angie Vitale (Drea de Matteo).
The lovely ladies of Wisteria Lane took a moment to enjoy a sweet treat in honor of a special milestone Wednesday, on the set of their hit show "Desperate Housewives."
She's baaack ... Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) makes her return to Wisteria Lane in style -- and isn't back a day before she insults the women who drove her out of town -- Susan (Teri Hatcher), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) and Bree (Marcia Cross).
ET has a first look at the glam photo shoot for the premiere of the fifth season of "Desperate Housewives" -- as Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Nicollette Sheridan, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Dana Delany get ready to return to Wisteria Lane on Sunday September 28 on ABC.
When "Desperate Housewives" returns for its fifth season on ABC on Sunday, Sept. 28, the show's timeline will jump ahead five years for the divas of Wisteria Lane -- Susan (Teri Hatcher), Bree (Marcia Cross), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker) and Katherine (Dana Delany).
There was a whole lot of shaking going on in Los Angeles on Tuesday when a 5.4 earthquake shook the town. And it was still the talk of the town on Wednesday when the stars gathered for the annual Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) Installation Luncheon.
"I was on the freeway, so I didn't feel it," "Desperate Housewives" stars Dana Delany told ET.
DANA DELANY breaks news to ET that she found out today that she'll be back on "Desperate Housewives" next season -- even though her character Katherine Mayfair's murder mystery will be solved in this year's two-hour season finale, airing this Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC!
"I'm coming back, yes," the actress tells ET. "My whole mystery story will be wrapped up and everything will be revealed, and it's rather dramatic."
When 15-year-old Leopold Cain (Will Denton), the son of a wealthy Manhattan family, is abducted, his parents (Dana Delany and Timothy Hutton) call in a professional who works outside the law, rather than the FBI. But it isn't long until the agency insinuates itself into the investigation. We quickly learn that Knapp (Jeremy Sisto), who specializes in returning children taken hostage to their parents, used to be an FBI agent, but quit when a child he was about to retrieve died as a result of agency policy.
"There's an element to working within an institution to bring down a kidnapper," explains Jeremy. "There's a set of rules and guidelines that you must use so as not to intrude on someone's civil liberties, or to do anything that would jeopardize the rights of every citizen. There are certain people who would not think of intruding on those liberties, but they have to go about the same steps as the people who actually would intrude on them. So maybe that's just from the point of view of my character, but there's kind of a frustrating element of working within a system that has so many ways of turning something -- turning a situation into something it shouldn't be."

That aside, the men who kidnapped Leopold are professionals, who may have a motive other than the ransom money. The plot thickens when the Cains' college-aged daughter also goes missing. As the story unfolds, we learn that many of those connected with the Cain family have secrets, and soon, everyone is a suspect.
"Vanished" is FOX's new mystery thriller. The action begins with the disappearance of Sara Collins, the wife of prominent Georgia Senator Jeffrey Collins. As the search for the missing woman unravels, it soon becomes apparent that there is a deeper mystery behind her abduction, and it may actually be part of a larger conspiracy. Everyone is a suspect, and no one is safe.
To compound the senator's problems, his son, Max, has his own secrets, while his sister Marcy is about to elope with her questionable boyfriend Ben. At the same time, the senator's ex-wife Jessica and a man from Sara's past both enter the picture to muddy the waters. Each week new clues will be revealed. Some will help solve the mystery; others will put the cast in jeopardy.
The only thing for sure on Wednesday night is that ABC has a lock on the 9 p.m. timeslot, where it is keeping its hit series "Lost." Its competition on CBS will be "Criminal Minds." NBC will put "The Biggest Loser" in the timeslot, while the CW has "One Tree Hill" and FOX will introduce "Justice."
"'Lost' is the show that every other show wants to be," says CRAIG TOMASHOFF, West Coast Bureau Chief for TV Guide. "Right now, 'Lost' is the equivalent of HARRISON FORD in his prime. Women wanted to be with him and men wanted to be him. Everybody wants to be 'Lost.' The way that 'Lost' left viewers hanging [in the season finale] couldn't have been better to set the stage for next year."
