DANIEL BALDWIN's recent failure to appear in court was simply due to a mix-up, his lawyer GRANT HOAGLAND tells the Associated Press. And now he's planning to ask the judge to cancel the arrest warrant issued to the actor.

ET confirms that a no-bail bench warrant has been issued on Friday for DANIEL BALDWIN. The 47-year-old actor, who was on probation for a drug-paraphernalia possession charge, failed to appear for a progress report hearing this morning. His probation has been revoked.
Baldwin is slated to appear as a contestant on next year's VH1 reality series "Celebrity Rehab with DR. DREW."

Tonight on ABC's "Primetime: Family Secrets" at 10 p.m., CYNTHIA McFADDEN will go along with Baldwin brother Daniel as he spends seven months in rehab. The show promises to show viewers what goes through the mind of an addict, and how difficult it can be to conquer addiction.

ET confirms that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of DANIEL BALDWIN, brother of actors ALEC, WILLIAM and STEPHEN, because he failed to show at a court hearing to face charges of grand theft auto.
The charges stem from an incident in November, when Daniel was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car.

"I am a drug addict and I am 67 days sober," he reveals. "During the last three episodes of the show, I was in full-blown addiction. I was living a really, really deceitful, lying, dirty life and it went beyond pain medication in the last few episodes. It started getting so bad that I was going to alternative substances. And when I went from pain medicine to narcotics, it was immediately worse. I started using everyday."
