The inquest into the death of ANNA NICOLE SMITH's son DANIEL has concluded that his death was an accidental overdose. The jury recommended no criminal charges.

A judge has postponed the deliberations of the Bahamas jury tasked with deciding DANIEL SMITH's cause of death, the Associated Press reports. The latest twist in the inquest of ANNA NICOLE SMITH's 20-year-old son came on Thursday when magistrate WILLIAM CAMPBELL said the jury would reconvene on March 31.

"The evidence appears to be simple, but it requires more time for review," he said.

ET has learned exclusively that ANNA NICOLE SMITH's late son, DANIEL, was hospitalized to treat symptoms of depression and back pain just two months before he flew to the Bahamas to visit his mother and newborn sister, DANNIELYNN, according to medical records introduced at the inquest.

The DANIEL SMITH inquest continued Monday in the Bahamas and according to the Associated Press, pathologist Dr. GOVINDA RAJU testified that the son of the late ANNA NICOLE SMITH was killed by a combination of methadone and the antidepressants Zoloft and Lexapro -- a cocktail that would have become lethal after five hours.

While the inquest into the death of ANNA NICOLE SMITH's son, DANIEL, began today in the Bahamas with the selection of a seven-person jury, proceedings have been adjourned until November 19 because Hurricane Noel is expected to hit the Bahamas Wednesday. Both the jury -- which is comprised of four women and three men -- and the media were instructed by the court not to speak to one another.
