Stars of the big and small screen stepped out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night for the 16th Annual Alzheimer's benefit,"A Night At Sardi's." The mood turned serious when stars were asked about PATRICK SWAYZE's battle with pancreatic cancer.

Producer DAVID E. KELLEY's "Boston Legal" was honored with the ABE BURROWS Entertainment Award for its portrayal of Alzheimer's, while Los Angeles mayor ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA spoke about Alzheimer's impact on the city. Celebs like ANGELA LANSBURY, KRISTEN BELL, WILLIAM SHATNER, VANESSA WILLIAMS, DICK VAN DYKE, CANDICE BERGEN, VICTOR GARBER, JOHN LARROQUETTE and more attended the fundraiser and awards, which included a performance of numbers from Bye, Bye Birdie, which was directed by JASON ALEXANDER.

Ever since JENNIFER LOPEZ hit movie screens as 'The Wedding Planner," the profession has come to the forefront in movies and TV series. Throwing his hat into the marriage ring is "Boston Legal" creator DAVID E. KELLEY, whose new series "The Wedding Bells" has a sneak peek tonight at 9 p.m. on FOX, following "American Idol." It then moves to its regular time period on Fridays at 9 p.m.

"The Wedding Bells" stars TERI POLO, SARAH JONES and KADEE STRICKLAND as the Bell sisters, who inherited a wedding planning business from their parents following their divorce. Each week, the sisters will have to juggle all the preparations that go into a wedding -- and all the maintenance that goes into dealing with out-of-control "Bridezillas" and their families -- with events in their personal lives.

BRAD PITT is in the process of adopting ANGELINA JOLIE's two kids, making him the latest Hollywood celebrity to decide to build his family with the help of the adoption process.

Along with Angelina, who adopted four-year-old MADDOX and her infant daughter ZAHARA as a single mom, "Ally McBeal" alum CALISTA FLOCKHART took the same route when she adopted her son LIAM in 2001.

No TV season would be complete without everybody's favorite blonde HEATHER LOCKLEAR, and ET has learned that the former "Spin City" star will be guest starring on two episodes of ABC's "Boston Legal" when the drama returns to the tube on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 10 p.m. This marks the second time that Heather will work with series star and Emmy® winner WILLLIAM SHATNER, as the two were previously paired up in the cop show "T.J. Hooker."

"I love the show," Heather shares. "It is my favorite show, so I said to ABC, 'Shouldn't I be William Shatner's illegitmate daughter or his love interest?' So they gave me this."
