DICK CLARK and RYAN SEACREST will be back as the hosts of the 36th "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," kicking off the countdown to the New Year with a three-and-one-half hour special, starting at 10 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31 on ABC.

When "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" ushers in 2006 with the ball drop in Times Square, this year America's oldest teenager will be joined by "American Idol" host RYAN SEACREST to co-host the night's special event.

No stranger to New Year's Eve TV, Ryan, who hosted a show on FOX last year, signed a multi-year deal with ABC to co-host DICK CLARK's show, with the thought in mind that he will one day take over the reins.
