In the January issue of Shape magazine, currently on stands, the 22-year-old beauty talks about her decision to enter the Eating Disorder Center of California to deal with her bulimia.
"After I made it through the first round of auditions, I knew I had to get better if I was going to go all the way," Katharine recalls in her interview. "In this way I can say the show literally saved my life."
NICOLE RICHIE has repeatedly denied accusations that she has an eating disorder, despite the significant drop in weight over the past couple of years. Last week, she announced that she was seeking treatment for her weight issues.
Like any father, LIONEL RICHIE says he's concerned about his daughter's health. According to People magazine, it was Lionel who urged Nicole to seek help.

Just two weeks ago, country singer SARA EVANS made headlines when she suddenly dropped out of "Dancing with the Stars" and filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, CRAIG SCHELSKE, alleging that he had an affair with their former nanny, ALISON CLINTON.
