Three-time Emmy winner Edie Falco segued from drama to dark comedy for her new Showtime series, "Nurse Jackie," which will wrap tonight with a surprising climax -- and ET has your sneak peek!
ET was with Edie Falco at the world premiere of Showtime's new comedy series "Nurse Jackie" on Tuesday night in New York, where we spoke to the three-time Emmy-award winner about the funny new show. Plus, Peter Facinelli reveals some secrets about 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'!
ET brings you a sneak peek of Edie Falco's return to the small screen as "Nurse Jackie," a quirky medical professional who pushes through life and career on a daily diet of prescription pain medication.
When "30 Rock" returns with five new episodes, beginning on Thursday, April 10, it is going to have several returning guest stars, including WILL ARNETT as Jack Donaghy's (ALEC BALDWIN) nemesis, Devin Banks, DEAN WINTERS as Dennis Duffy, the Beeper King, and possibly EDIE FALCO as Celeste Cunningham.
"Sopranos" star EDIE FALCO will show off her funny side in three upcoming episodes of NBC's "30 Rock," which returns for its second season on October 4.
Bada Bing! Tony (JAMES GANDOLFINI) and his crew are back for the final nine episodes of "The Sopranos." The beginning of the end starts Sunday, April 8 at 9 p.m. on HBO, when Tony, who survived a close call with death at the hands of his uncle last season, struggles to remind himself that each day is a gift; and wife Carmela (EDIE FALCO) plans for a future that may not happen.
"I am so sad," Edie told ET at the premiere for this season's "The Sopranos." "I have had nothing but great things to say about this [job] from the get-go. No actor is luckier. It has been the ideal job, and I will miss it terribly."
Some surprises and even a few "desperate" snubs came out of this morning's Emmy nominations, when BRAD GARRETT and JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS announced the contenders for the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards!
Leading the TV series race this time out is "24," which pulled in 12 nods, followed by "Grey's Anatomy" with 11 noms and "Will and Grace" with 10 -- but missing from any lead acting categories were popular drama "Lost" and those feisty "Desperate Housewives."
When the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards nominations are announced by BRAD GARRETT and JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS on Thursday morning, expect some surprises. The voting for the prestigious TV awards has been changed this year to try to level out the competition between the big three networks and the smaller channels, so shows such as the "Gilmore Girls," "Veronica Mars" and "Battlestar Galactica" may finally get the recognition TV critics feel they deserve.
"This year the Emmy nominations should not look like a rerun," says Emmy expert TOM O'NEIL, who shares his expertise with ET and also on his Web site goldderby.latimes.com, which is part of theenvelope.latimes.com. "There is a new voting process that hopes to welcome in new blood."
Women In Film rolled out the red carpet for JENNIFER LOPEZ and GEENA DAVIS Tuesday night, when the two gorgeous ladies were among those honored at the 2006 Crystal + Lucy Awards, celebrating talented women in film and TV.
ET's JANN CARL was at the Century Plaza Hotel for the star-studded event, hosted by "The Sopranos"' EDIE FALCO, which presented Crystal Awards to Lopez, producer LAUREN SHULER DONNER and composer DIANE WARREN. The Crystal Awards, established in 1977, are given to women who have helped to expand the role of women in the entertainment industry.
They're back. It's been a long 21 months for fans of New Jersey's favorite mob family "The Sopranos," but the HBO series finally kicked off its sixth season Sunday evening with an episode that ended with a bang.
The 62nd Annual Golden Globe Nominations were announced Monday morning and as the nominees woke up -- or were woken up by their publicists and friends -- ET was on hand to get the stars' reactions to the happy news!
Seven-time Globe nominee NICOLE KIDMAN says she is proud to be nominated for her work in 'Birth.' "You try to stay pure and committed to what you believe and to your work without wavering no matter what you win or what you lose," she tells ET. "You try to know why you do it. I do it because I love to put complicated, interesting women on screen. To have it noticed like this is lovely. It says something in terms of the way in which people watch your body of work and follow it. I appreciate it.
From SARAH JESSICA PARKER and JENNIFER ANISTON's dazzling CHANEL designs to SHARON STONE's lilac ELSIE KATZ, Sunday night at the Emmys was a Who's Who of Hollywood stars wearing their favorite designers.
"I thought the show was very directional, actually toned down, casual chic in an elegant way," ALLEN B. SCHWARTZ, design director of ABS and Allen B. fashion lines, tells ET. "There was a lot of color, a lot of soft hair. The women's hair was great. People like EDIE FALCO, I never saw her look more beautiful, Sarah Jessica Parker's always great, and KIM CATTRALL in pink. Pinks, greens and light aquas, those are the signals of a direction that is happening in dresses."

There were crying fits, yelling matches, and even girlfriend whackings this year on the dramatic side of television. Tonight on ET, our Emmy® expert, TOM O'NEIL of Goldderby.com, predicts whether or not stars like JENNIFER GARNER and AMBER TAMBLYN will go home with their very first golden statuettes!
"There's a real push behind Amber Tamblyn this year for 'Joan of Arcadia' -- it was nominated for best drama -- and she's a hot, sensitive, cool actress," O'Neil tells ET. "But she skews a little too young for those geezer Emmy voters. She may need divine intervention."
