"Star Trek" star GEORGE TAKEI, who played Sulu on the original series, is going where he has never gone before, and telling ET's JANN CARL about being homosexual.
"Even before my teens, in grammar school, I started noticing boys and they were more interesting to me than girls," he says. "Then as a teenager you become more aware of your sexuality, but that became a private thing. At that time, the issue of homosexuality was peripheral -- and in denial --and you kept quiet about that. It remains a very private thing, but the world has changed now."
