GEORGE CLOONEY may be a superstar these days, but he was hardly an overnight success. Rather, it took him 12 years to catch a break in Hollywood. George, who moved to Los Angeles from Kentucky in 1982, didn't really click until "ER" hit the airwaves in 1994. It wasn't that he didn't get parts. He was in the cast of the sitcom "E/R," which lasted only one season, he spent two years on "The Facts of Life," and a brief stint on "Roseanne," but it wasn't until landing the role of Dr. Douglas Ross on "ER" that he became a star.
Now George is executive producing and directing, "Unscripted," a new fictional series for HBO, using his personal experiences, plus those of exec producer GRANT HESLOV and co-exec producer MATT ADLER, as well as series stars KRISTA ALLEN, BRYAN GREENBERG, JENNIFER HALL and FRANK LANGELLA, to show what life is like for three struggling young actors in Hollywood and how far they will go to make it.
