ET has confirmed that former "Hour Magazine" and "The Home Show" host Gary Collins has been formerly charged with DUI, stemming from a January 31 arrest for erratic driving of a motor home.

Actor GARY COLLINS was released from jail on Friday after serving his 96-hour sentence for drunken driving, the Associated Press reports. The 69-year-old television personality left the Glendale, CA, jail just after 6 a.m., a police rep tells the AP.

GARY COLLINS checked into Glendale, CA, jail today to serve his 96-hour sentence. Last month, the TV personality pleaded no contest to DUI after being involved in an accident with another car.

GARY COLLINS pled no contest to DUI today in a Van Nuys, CA, court and was sentenced to probation, jail time and other sanctions. The judge sentenced Collins to 48 months of probation. The court also ordered that he spend either 96 hours in Los Angeles County jail and pay a $500 fine or serve 16 days in jail with a credit for two days already served.

Actor GARY COLLINS was arrested Tuesday night under suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, according to the LAPD. Authorities say around 5:20 p.m. yesterday, Collins was driving his 2004 Ford Explorer Northbound on Kester at Morrison in Sherman Oaks when a blue Toyota driven by an 89-year-old man failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with Collins' vehicle. Collins, when hit by the Toyota, swerved and hit two parked cars. |
