ET takes you on the red carpet for the 23rd Annual American Cinematheque Awards, where Samuel L. Jackson was this year’s honoree. ET talks to the veteran actor, his former co-stars and film icon George Lucas!
The French Riviera became 'The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' this weekend as the new Indiana Jones movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival -- and ET was there!
HARRISON FORD, CATE BLANCHETT, SHIA LaBEOUF, KAREN ALLEN and Indy collaborators STEVEN SPIELBERG and GEORGE LUCAS proudly walked the red carpet to debut the fourth installment of the adventure saga – almost 20 years in the making!
'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' collaborators STEVEN SPIELBERG, who serves as director, and GEORGE LUCAS, who is both producer and co-writer, sit down with our MARY HART in Cannes to talk all things Indy, including how they decided on casting CATE BLANCHETT and SHIA LaBEOUF.
Two years after the sixth 'Star Wars' film, 'Revenge of the Sith,' stormed into theaters, GEORGE LUCAS has announced that he's heading back to the big screen with the animated 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars,' set to hit theaters August 15, according to Reuters.
"It" boy of the summer SHIA LaBEOUF is looking to re-team with 'Disturbia' director D.J. CARUSO for the big-screen suspense thriller 'Eagle Eye.'
Based on an idea by STEVEN SPIELBERG, the film follows a twentysomething guy and a single mother who are framed as terrorists. Forced to join a terrorist cell, they find themselves right in the middle of plans for a political assassination.
Cameras are finally rolling on the long-awaited 'Indiana Jones IV,' with HARRISON FORD back in action and STEVEN SPIELBERG and GEORGE LUCAS at the reins. SEAN CONNERY, however, will not be back as Indy's adventuring dad.
"If anything could have pulled me out of retirement it would have been an Indiana Jones film," says Connery. "But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun."
GEORGE LUCAS and Luke Skywalker himself, MARK HAMILL, are reuniting for a special 'Star Wars' edition of "Robot Chicken" for Cartoon Network, premiering at 10 p.m. on June 17.
Featuring the satire's stop-motion-animated action figures, the 30-minute "Robot Chicken: Star Wars" special will spoof favorite scenes and characters from the phenomenal film franchise, with Lucas and Hamill gamely lending their voices to the show.
The last time we saw Indiana Jones in 1989, he was battling Nazis in search of the Holy Grail with his father. Now, the long-awaited, almost mythological fourth Indiana Jones movie has a release date.
The Box Office Mojo Web site reports that the untitled adventure will be released by Paramount Pictures on May 22, 2008. The Memorial Day weekend date follows the same release pattern as the last two 'Indiana Jones' movies. Creative team STEVEN SPIELBERG and GEORGE LUCAS will be back as director and producer, respectively, and, of course, a sixty-something HARRISON FORD will once again crack the whip as Indy.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away ... 'Star Wars' was born! Actually, it all started in 1977, when maverick director GEORGE LUCAS changed the face of Hollywood with the release of his space epic that became a phenomenon. The final chapter in the six-part 'Star Wars' saga, 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith,' earned $70.75 million over Memorial Day weekend, bringing its total to $271.2 million!
ET's with the man behind the mask, HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN, and the man behind the myth, George Lucas!
The 'Star Wars' crew took over both coasts before its big May 19 debut as the film premiered in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and seven other cities!
In N.Y. SAMUEL L. JACKSON posed for pics with a wookie, while LIAM NEESON hung with a few storm troopers. Even former "American Idol" contestant CONSTANTINE MAROULIS came out for the action -- and got a thumbs up from Chewbacca! "I'm really excited," he revealed, "and Chewbacca is back ... he's like the strong, silent type!"
Are you willing to be seduced by the dark side of the Force? Complete with an army of Wookies, the ultimate lightsaber duel and the rise of Darth Vader, the epic 'Star Wars' saga comes to a rousing conclusion this summer when 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith' dominates theaters worldwide.
In January, ET first got a sneak peek at the unprecedented, four-panel cover of Vanity Fair magazine that brought together some of the biggest stars of all six films, including MARK HAMILL, HARRISON FORD, CARRIE FISHER and BILLY DEE WILLIAMS alongside NATALIE PORTMAN, HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN, EWAN McGREGOR, LIAM NEESON, SAMUEL L. JACKSON and GEORGE LUCAS (and, of course, Yoda, C-3PO, R2-D2 and Chewbacca)!
