Sexy Selma Blair tells ET at the premiere of the upcoming 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' that playing a weapon-toting superhero was a real blast. 

But Blair, who stars in the sci-fi thriller with Doug Jones and Ron Perlman (Hellboy), also said playing the role took quite some getting used to and she would sometimes share a laugh with co-stars while they acted out their moves.

From demon heroes and modern-day princes to cartoon cows, last week's box-office bounty ran the gamut from serious to silly.

But it was the sci-fi fantasy 'Hellboy,' starring RON PERLMAN as the titular superhero based on the Dark Horse Comics character, that clobbered the competition with $23.5 million for first place. As the child of Satan, Hellboy is a full-fledged demon brought to earth by an evil madman to perpetrate evil. Intercepted and adopted by U.S. agents, he's raised as a force for good. Now an adult, the red-skinned, horned hellion works as an investigator of the paranormal to fight the forces of evil. Paired with the telepathic "Mer-Man" Abe Sapien (DOUG JONES) and the pyrokinetic Liz Sherman (SELMA BLAIR), these unlikely heroes are the only line of defense against the mysterious Grigori Rasputin (KAREL RODEN), a man determined to use Hellboy's powers to incite Armageddon.
