Dr. Jan Adams, who made headlines last fall when he performed a surgical procedure on Kanye West's mom Donda shortly before her death, has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Police confirm to ET that Adams was arrested this morning at 2:40 a.m. in Solano County, CA, on Interstate 680. He was charged on three counts: DUI, driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 percent, and driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI.

Dr. JAN ADAMS, who performed cosmetic surgery on KANYE WEST's mother DONDA the day before she died, had this to say about the autopsy report released Thursday:
"I hold sacred the bond of confidentiality that exists between a patient and doctor according to the law. Our deepest sympathies continue with the West family and we stand behind our decision to support them during these difficult times.

Dr. JAN ADAMS will finally speak out about the circumstances surrounding the death of KANYE WEST's mom, DONDA, in an exclusive interview within the pages of the new issue of People, due out this Friday.
In one excerpt from the interview, Adams vehemently denies that his surgery on Donda was rushed: "I find that offensive and sort of unfair. I'm thorough and I do my job well."
The Los Angeles Superior Court in San Pedro has issued a bench warrant for Dr. JAN ADAMS for $30,000. The doctor, who performed surgery on DONDA WEST the day before she died, did not show up for a scheduled court appearance on Friday morning. LORI UFONDU sued Adams in 2004 for $250,000 after leaving a sponge in her after performing sugery. In 2005, a judge ordered the doctor to pay Ufondu $100,000. She has not been paid and today's hearing was to examine his assets in regards to this case.

Discovery Health has pulled repeats of a television show featuring Dr. JAN ADAMS, the doctor who reportedly operated on KANYE WEST's late mother DONDA WEST, shortly before her death, according to the AP.
The news organization reports that Adams hosted Discovery Health's "Plastic Surgery: Before and After" for five years until the last first-run show aired last June. The channel has since been airing reruns of the program, and has pulled four that had been scheduled to air this week.
ET has just obtained court papers related to a civil suit leveled against DR. JAN ADAMS, the doctor who reportedly performed cosmetic surgery on KANYE WEST's mother, DONDA, before she died. The charges in the suit, which was filed in August 2002, include medical malpractice and making "lewd, unprofessional, unsolicited and uninvited sexual comments."
The patient, MANSURA AHMAD, who sought extensive plastic surgery from the doctor, claimed in the papers that Adams attempted to "manipulate [her] office visits" so that they would meet on Saturday, when they would be alone in the office together.
