Jason is back, and he's stalking the blood-soaked red carpet! The hockey-masked killer returns to the big screen this Friday (yes, the 13th) in an all-new, re-imagined take on 'Friday the 13th' from super producer Michael Bay (who also brought us updated versions of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'The Amityville Horror') -- and ET was at the big Hollywood premiere!
Entertainment Tonight and TV guide's sexiest men of 2008 share one "it" factor says ET executive producer LINDA BELL BLUE: "Confidence is a very sexy thing on television." And these men definitely have it!
The CW today announced pickups of six of its series for the 2008-2009 season. Getting the thumbs up were "America's Next Top Model," "Gossip Girl," "One Tree Hill," "Smallville," "Supernatural" and "Everybody Hates Chris."
Brothers Sam (JARED PADALECKI) and Dean (JENSEN ACKLES) continue their battle of good against evil -- spirits that is -- on the second season of "Supernatural," airing on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. on The CW.
ET caught up with Jared on a rare trip down to Los Angeles from the Vancouver location of the series.
The CW's "Supernatural" is looking for a few good "X-Files" fans to beef up its ratings.
After all, the show is in what has to be the toughest timeslot on TV -- Thursday at 9 p.m. against "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" -- and while it has been doing okay, a larger cult following of viewers couldn't hurt its chances of getting picked up for a third season.
There's a lot of new sci-fi TV shows on the fall schedule: "Invasion," "Threshold" and "Surface," but "Supernatural," airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on The WB, stands out with its combination of small town ghost stories and exploration of American urban myths. It has been such a ratings success for the network in its time period that it just received a full-season pickup.
The paranormal drama is from "The O.C." exec producer McG, and stars two WB alumni JARED PADALECKI ("Gilmore Girls") and JENSEN ACKLES ("Smallville"), playing brothers searching for evil creatures in a show that each week will take a journey into the dark side.
The launch of the fall TV season marks the end of the big summer of reality series, so pop the popcorn, park yourself on the sofa, grab the remote and get ready for the new season of scripted dramas.
"With all the new shows coming out, there are a lot of great shows coming up that remind us there is great writing in television," says DEBRA BIRNBAUM, executive editor of Inside TV.
Now in its fifth season, the "Gilmore Girls" is still one of the smartest-written series on TV. It has at its core the mother-daughter relationship between Lorelai Gilmore (LAUREN GRAHAM) and daughter Rory (ALEXIS BLEDEL), who, as a result of their small age difference, are also best friends. Lorelai became pregnant with Rory when she was just 16 years old, and she decided to have the baby and raise her on her own.
She has done a great job. That is, until the fourth season. Rory had been the perfect daughter, focusing on her studies and listening to her mom's advice. But when Rory left for Yale, things changed, and she began an affair with her married ex-boyfriend Dean (JARED PADALECKI), causing the first serious rift Lorelai and Rory had ever experienced.
PARIS HILTON is running scared in her skivvies from some horrors, and there's nothing "simple" about her new creature feature, 'House of Wax,' in theaters May 6!
Taking the SAT's, preparing for the opening of your first feature film (with a $40 million price tag nonetheless), and being in the perpetual spotlight is all in a day's work for actresses/ entrepreneurs/ clothiers MARY-KATE and ASHLEY OLSEN. We tell you all about their upcoming flick 'New York Minute,' hitting theaters May 7th!
"This picture has something for everyone," Ashley told ET when we visited the set -- including Canadian rockers A SIMPLE PLAN, who were also on the set filming a scene where the girls sneak on stage during one of their concerts and end up in a mosh pit!
