A judge has dismissed several claims on both sides of Rob Lowe's legal battle with former nanny Jessica Gibson, according to People magazine.

The judge dismissed Gibson's retaliation claim against Lowe, and also dismissed four of Lowe's defamation claims against Gibson, ruling that she is protected by laws allowing workers to protest working conditions.

Following reports that a second nanny had filed a lawsuit against ROB LOWE and his wife, STANTON "LARRY" STEIN, an attorney for the Lowes, released the following statement to ET:

"Having struck out against ROB LOWE, GLORIA ALLRED now seeks to drag his wife and children into the fray. In response to a lawsuit against LAURA BOYCE by the Lowes, Ms. Allred filed a cross-complaint on behalf of Boyce, which contains false allegations, in an apparent attempt to divert the negative publicity which Allred’s client, [JESSICA] GIBSON, has universally received.

ET has obtained another set of court papers related to ROB and SHERYL LOWE's lawsuits against three former employees. The latest papers relate to his lawsuit against former nanny JESSICA GIBSON.

In the papers, the Lowes accuse Gibson of breaching a confidentiality agreement; defamation; breach of duty of loyalty; breach of fiduciary duty; intentional infliction of emotional distress; negligent infliction of emotional distress, intentional misrepresentation; negligent misrepresentation; trespass and abuse of process.
