Along with such Tuesday night staples as "NCIS," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "House," the networks will be premiering five new series this night.

"Cane" stars JIMMY SMITS in an epic drama about the external rivalries and internal power struggles of a large Cuban-American family running an immensely successful rum and sugar business in South Florida. When the Duque family patriarch, Pancho (HECTOR ELIZONDO, "Chicago Hope"), is offered a lucrative but questionable deal by his bitter adversary, the Samuels, to purchase thousands of acres of sugar fields, he's faced with a tough choice: Should he cash out of the sugar business and focus solely on rum, which would please his impulsive natural son, Frank (NESTOR CARBONELL, "Lost"), or protect the family legacy that he built from the ground up by not selling, and side with his adopted son, Alex (Smits), who mistrusts the Samuels and still sees value in sugar. Alex and Frank's approach to business is as different as their approach to life. For the Duques, will family allegiance come first, or will their secrets and acrimonious conflicts over love, lust and control of the family fortune be their downfall? "Cane" is scheduled for 10 p.m. on CBS.

There aren't going to be a whole lot of changes to CBS' 2007-2008 schedule. As the most-watched network, the majority of this year's schedule will remain intact, with only five new series being added to the line-up: one comedy and four dramas.

The solo new comedy, "The Big Bang Theory," from CHUCK LORRE ("Two and a Half Men"), is about brainy best friends who can tell you anything you want to know about science, but are lost when it comes to dealing with everyday life.

The 'Star Wars' crew took over both coasts before its big May 19 debut as the film premiered in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and seven other cities!

In N.Y. SAMUEL L. JACKSON posed for pics with a wookie, while LIAM NEESON hung with a few storm troopers. Even former "American Idol" contestant CONSTANTINE MAROULIS came out for the action -- and got a thumbs up from Chewbacca! "I'm really excited," he revealed, "and Chewbacca is back ... he's like the strong, silent type!"
