"Dancing with the Stars" began its summer tour last week without last season's champ APOLO ANTON OHNO. But ET has just learned that the Olympic gold medalist has decided to put his dancing shoes back on and return for five performances.
"After the show, I started training again for the Olympics, but realized quickly that I couldn't go on without at least one more week of samba," Apolo said of his decision to join the cast.

"Dancing with the Stars"' fab four -- JOEY FATONE (season four), JOEY McINTYRE (season one), JOEY LAWRENCE (season three) and DREW LACHEY (season two) -- are putting their dancing shoes back on now that the hit ABC show has kicked off its 24-city tour.
"Come and check it out," Fatone tells ET. "It is a lot of fun. We dance, we sing, we make fun of each other."

"We are a very dysfunctional family out here, and we are looking forward to it," Drew, who won his season's competition, says with a smile. "The banter and busting each other's chops is what makes the tour go faster."

The final "Dancing with the Stars" showdown is just a day away, and finalists MARIO LOPEZ and KARINA SMIRNOFF, and EMMITT SMITH and CHERYL BURKE are sweating it out, packing the hours in the studio and preparing for the final dance-off!
ET's special "Dance" correspondent, former contestant LISA RINNA, snuck into Emmitt and Cheryl's secret dance rehearsal to get the goods -- and bust a move with Emmitt!
From a starting field of 11 couples, only EMMITT SMITH and his professional partner CHERYL BURKE, MARIO LOPEZ and KARINA SMIRNOFF, and JOEY LAWRENCE and EDYTA SLIWINSKA remain in the "Dancing with the Stars" semi-finals.
The elimination of MONIQUE COLEMAN on last Wednesday's results show turned the final two rounds of the competition into a testosterone-loaded event! Or as host TOM BERGERON labeled it: "Three Men and a Trophy."

Only five couples remain in the third cycle of "Dancing with the Stars," and the competition is heating up as the stars faced the biggest test of their skills last night, performing both a ballroom routine and a Latin dance.
Last week, JOEY LAWRENCE and JERRY SPRINGER found themselves in the bottom two, but with the departure of SARA EVANS, neither celeb was eliminated.
In a "Dancing with the Stars" first, all of the remaining contestants were safe from elimination this week due to the sudden departure of SARA EVANS.
During last night's results show, host TOM BERGERON told the audience that JOEY LAWRENCE, JERRY SPRINGER and their professional partners had received the lowest votes, but then announced that neither couple would be leaving.
They had been in the bottom before and made it through, but Wednesday was the end of the road for partners WILLA FORD and MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY when they became the fifth couple voted off of "Dancing with the Stars."
"Don't be sad," Willa said in response to the audience's disapproval of the couple's elimination. "After being in the bottom two for the first two weeks, I felt that every week I stayed on was a bonus. I did exactly what I said I was going to do; I improved every week."
Only eight couples remain in the third cycle of "Dancing with the Stars," after last week's surprising departure of HARRY HAMLIN and his professional partner ASHLY DelGROSSO. It just goes to show how unpredictable the voting can be -- and fans have to vote to keep their favorites in the competition.
Last week, the judges gave low scores to the bad boys of ballroom -- MARIO LOPEZ and JOEY LAWRENCE, who broke the rules by incorporating lifts into their routines. This week, they tried to redeem themselves, as the dancers performed either an elegant waltz or the paso doble, the dance of the bullfight. JERRY SPRINGER, WILLA FORD, MONIQUE COLEMAN and Joey danced the waltz. SARA EVANS, VIVICA A. FOX, EMMITT SMITH and Mario performed the paso doble.
