Surviving "Beatles" PAUL McCARTNEY and RINGO STARR appeared on CNN's "LARRY KING Live" Tuesday night from the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to commemorate the one year anniversary of Cirque du Soleil's production, The Beatles LOVE, which celebrates the legendary band's music and legacy.

Joining Paul and Ringo for the momentous occasion were the widows of departed band members JOHN LENNON and GEORGE HARRISON -- YOKO ONO LENNON and OLIVIA HARRISON -- along with Cirque du Soleil founder GUY LALIBERTÉ.

Most viewers weren't surprised to see JORDIN SPARKS take the "American Idol" crown this week, but they did get a surprise on the show's two-hour finale, when GREEN DAY turned up for a live performance of JOHN LENNON's "Working Class Hero."

The punk trio performed the song to help raise awareness for Amnesty International's efforts in Darfur, Sudan. The human rights organization aims to promote awareness of and justice for the plight of African refugees and victims of the genocide currently taking place in the region.
