The ladies of "The View" responded to the comments made by their former co-host Star Jones on Oprah Winfrey regarding her gastric bypass surgery that she kept a secret.
As she hands out Kraft's new Bagel-fuls to hungry New Yorkers, "The View" co-host JOY BEHAR talks to ET about her friend ROSIE O'DONNELL, her "American Idol" faves and whether or not she'd join "Dancing With The Stars."
ROSIE O'DONNELL's early exit from "The View" continues to have everyone talking -- including the star herself, who has been blogging about last week's on-air spat with ELISABETH HASSELBECK.
On Saturday, Rosie posted a video blog on her Web site. She admits that her head writer JANETTE BARBER was the one who defaced Elisabeth's picture. She denies trashing her dressing room, saying she's too lazy to do that, and admits she hasn't watched the tape of the fight. She also says that Monday's show, her last, was taped two weeks ago. On it, the ladies of "The View" celebrated Elisabeth's birthday.
Amid speculation that ROSIE O'DONNELL may not return to "The View" after her on-air spat with ELISABETH HASSELBECK, ET has learned that Rosie will indeed be back in her coveted seat at the head of the table -- but not until Tuesday.
While her absence from today's show may seem conspicuous after her explosive confrontation with Elisabeth, the celebrated TV talker had planned to take time off to celebrate her partner KELLI CARPENTER O'DONNELL's 40th birthday.
ROSIE O'DONNELL and the women of "The View" -- JOY BEHAR and BARBARA WALTERS -- celebrated women in communication, as Joy presented "Today" co-host and former "View" moderator MEREDITH VIEIRA with a prestigious Matrix Award on Monday morning in NYC.
MARTHA STEWART, HILLARY CLINTON and director/screenwriter NORA EPHRON also presented awards at the New York Women in Communications, Inc. (NYWICI) luncheon, which honored women who have made their mark in the field of communications.
The ladies of The View -- Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck -- welcomed Emmy® Award-winning talk show host Rosie O'Donnell as she made her return to daytime TV on Tuesday, sliding into the chair once occupied by show moderator Meredith Vieira -- and it was a huge success. Rosie's first day saw a more than 50 percent ratings bump over the corresponding date last year!
Along with a new, permanent co-host, a remodeled "View" set was also unveiled. Gone are the brown and tan colors of the past, replaced by a dynamic blue hue with a vibrant orange background and glass table at center stage.
It's been four years since "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" went off the air, but now the Emmy Award-winning talk show host is ready to return to work. Her new gig, as has been previously ballyhooed, is to replace MEREDITH VIEIRA on "The View."
ROSIE O'DONNELL will join BARBARA WALTERS, JOY BEHAR and ELISABETH HASSELBECK on Tuesday, September 5. But first, Barbara and Rosie sit down for a one-on-one interview that will begin airing on the daytime talk show on Monday, Aug. 7, and continue until Rosie's first day on the air. ET has your first look!
MEREDITH VIEIRA said goodbye today to popular mid-morning show "The View" after nine years as the gabfest's traffic cop. In a highly publicized move, Meredith is set to take over for KATIE COURIC as co-host of "Today" with MATT LAUER.
Viewers were treated to fond farewells from fellow co-hosts BARBARA WALTERS, STAR JONES REYNOLDS, JOY BEHAR and ELISABETH HASSELBECK -- plus special guests MARIO CANTONE, JOAN RIVERS and KELSEY GRAMMER.
Nothing is off limits as STAR JONES sits down with our CHRISHAUNDA LEE to talk about love, sex and her headline-making weight loss -- all juicy subjects she discusses in her revealing new book Shine: A Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Journey to Finding Love.
In the highly anticipated book out today, Star gets candid about finding love and romance with her husband AL REYNOLDS as well as marrying after the age of 40.
