It was an evening of several firsts and unexpected surprises Sunday night as many of Hollywood's biggest stars of the big and small screen picked up their first-ever Actor statuette at the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

'Little Miss Sunshine' proved to be the little movie that could, winning the night's top prize. The ensemble cast of the film, including STEVE CARELL, GREG KINNEAR, ALAN ARKIN and little ABIGAIL BRESLIN, rallied to outshine the casts of 'Babel,' 'Bobby,' The Departed' and 'Dreamgirls.'

JULIE ANDREWS, veteran star of stage, screen and television, will be given a Life Achievement Award by the Screen Actors Guild, it was announced Monday. She'll receive the honor at the 13th Annual SAG Awards on January 28.

"Julie Andrews is a woman of great generosity, creativity, courage, elegance and wit," said SAG President ALAN ROSENBERG in a statement. "She embodies and transcends the memorable roles she has created."
