NATALIE PORTMAN, CHLOE SEVIGNY and KYRA SEDGWICK are joining forces with National Geographic in a new video called "This Bulb" that encourages consumers to switch from incandescent light bulbs to the more eco-friendly compact fluorescent bulbs (CFBs).
In the video -- which features the music of AIMEE MANN and remarkable footage from the National Geographic library -- Natalie, Chloe and Kyra explain how an action as simple as changing a light bulb can help reverse the effects of greenhouse gases.

"Two and a Half Men" star JON CRYER and "The Closer" headliner KYRA SEDGWICK will join DICK ASKIN, Chairman and CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, to announce the nominees for the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Nominees in 11 categories will be broadcast on Thursday, July 19 at 5:40 a.m. PT, live from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood.

ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT: Do you find that the longer that you play Brenda, the more you become like her? Or, is she becoming more like you?
KYRA: No, I don't think so. But when I'm in the midst of playing her over the season, I can have a few Brenda dreams and Brenda moments. I feel very personally involved with her because it's a character I stay connected to for six months in a stretch. Something might happen in my daily life, and I'll go, "Oh, we've got to put that in the show." But the character is still certainly very much a character and not merely an extension of who I am.

It looks like DWAYNE "THE ROCK" JOHNSON has caught the football bug. The former pro wrestler, whose football-themed 'Gridiron Gang' opened big in theaters this weekend, is adding another football flick to his big-screen resume.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 34-year-old 'Rundown' and 'Scorpion King' star begins filming 'The Game Plan' this month in Boston. In the pigskin comedy, Johnson plays a pro football quarterback who discovers he has a young daughter from a previous relationship and must change his life to become a good father. KYRA SEDGWICK will play his ruthless, over-the-top sports agent, who sees the life-changing news as an inconvenience.

It's no secret in Hollywood that the best roles for women 40 and over are found on television. This fall is no exception, as glam gals such as
"I have a great trainer," says the former beauty queen, who admits to cheating occasionally on her low-carb diet with everything from M&Ms to ice cream. "I started training about three years ago. I was doing my regular routine, but I was losing muscle tone, and, as a dancer, I have always had muscle and definition. So, I started lifting weights and it really made a difference to speed up my metabolism, but it also carves the body."

In the first season, Brenda had a tough time establishing a rapport with her new team of detectives. Now in season two, premiering Monday, June 12 at 9 p.m., the police chief is back in the midst of difficult cases while trying to create a personal life.
