"Desperate Housewives" actress Nicollette Sheridan tells TV Guide Magazine that killing off her character, Edie Britt, could have "devastating ramifications" for the show.

"Desperate Housewives" hunk James Denton and his wife Erin O'Brien celebrated the world premiere of their all-new stage production, How Cissy Grew, in a tiny 96-seat theatre in North Hollywood, and you'd never guess who came by to show their support!
Before "Desperate Housewives," show creator Marc Cherry produced and wrote for "The Golden Girls." Now, he's remembering the beloved Estelle Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia and passed away earlier today at 84.
"She always used to be very quick-witted; she could get a punchline out quicker than anybody," says Cherry about the spunky actress, who played Sophia Petrillo on the hit NBC sitcom in the '80s. "That's a rare talent, and she was kind of amazing, and I'm going to miss her terribly."
If Sunday night's season finale of "Desperate Housewives" left you scratching your head, ET gets to the bottom of the mystery for the skinny on next season!
If you've set your TiVo and didn't see the conclusion, be prepared for spoilers ahead!
When we last visited Wisteria Lane, Gaby (EVA LONGORIA) was making love with her ex, Carlos (RICARDO ANTONIO CHAVIRA), less than an hour after she married Victor (JOHN SLATTERY)! Edie (NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN) hung herself ... and Susan (TERI HATCHER) and Mike (JAMES DENTON) were adjusting to married life.
It was the season three finale, and it was just full of cliffhangers. It was a lot to take in, so fans can revisit all the action before the next chapter unfolds now that "Desperate Housewives: The Complete Third Season, The Dirty Laundry Edition" is in stores.

"Desperate Housewives"' JAMES DENTON took his TV wife, TERI HATCHER, out to the ballgame Saturday, when she threw the first pitch at the Orange County Flyers baseball game.
James, who's a partial owner of the Flyers, and Teri gave ET some Season 4 inside info about the show.
"Desperate Housewives" wouldn't be "Desperate Housewives" if it didn't focus on the lives of the women -- Gabrielle (EVA LONGORIA), Bree (MARCIA CROSS), Lynette (FELICITY HUFFMAN), Susan (TERI HATCHER) and Edie (NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN) -- but, as several of the cul-de-sac's vivacious vixens are moms, it was a natural for executive producer/creator MARC CHERRY to introduce a steamy teenage storyline.
This season adolescent sex has hit Wisteria Lane. Susan's good-girl daughter Julie (ANDREA BOWEN) has lost her virginity to Edie's bad-boy nephew Austin (JOSH HENDERSON).
TERI HATCHER gets tearful in her first television sit-down interview, when she opens up about the sexual abuse she claims she suffered as a child as well as many other painful moments from her past, including her unstable marriage. The "Desperate Housewives" star reveals these intimate details on Tuesday's edition of "The OPRAH WINFREY Show," and we have a sneak peek inside the compelling appearance.
One personal detail Teri reveals to the talk show host is that she knows the exact day her 8-year-old daughter EMERSON was conceived, telling Oprah it's because it's the only time that year that she had sex with her then-husband JON TENNEY.
On the hit ABC show "Desperate Housewives," the residents of Wisteria Lane often find themselves at odds with one another. And Monday night was no exception as the cast got together for a staged "Housewives" catfight, but for a very worthy cause.
Series stars DOUG SAVANT, RICARDO CHAVIRA, BRENDA STRONG and FELICITY HUFFMAN, along with "Housewives" creator MARC CHERRY, gathered in Hollywood to participate in "Les Girls 5," a cabaret show to benefit the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC). Even Marc got onstage and performed a song.
The "Desperate Housewives" are back to work on the second season of ABC's phenomenal hit series, premiering Sunday, Sept. 25, and the only tip that TERI HATCHER will give us for the new season is: "I think all the ladies' characters get all sorts of opportunities to explore all different levels."
That may have satisfied the former "Lois & Clark" star's need for season two inside info, but we need to know more! ET reported earlier that JOELY FISHER will be joining the cast as Lynette's (FELICITY HUFFMAN) new boss and that ALFRE WOODARD, who showed up in the first season finale, will be playing a piano teacher with a very dark secret.
"Desperate Housewives" creator/executive producer MARC CHERRY has described his cast and himself as just a bunch of people out of work who got together to put on a show. Little did they suspect that the dark comedy would turn out to be the monster hit that it has become, so much so that the stars were rewarded with a bonus $250,000 as a result of the high ratings.
ET was on hand when the cast of ABC's No. 1 series held court at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for "An Evening with Desperate Housewives."
The ladies of Wisteria Lane are getting a new neighbor this Thursday, Feb. 3, when OPRAH WINFREY visits the set of "Desperate Housewives" on her top-rated syndicated show.
"MARC CHERRY and that wonderful writing team from 'Desperate Housewives' wrote a script just for the 'Oprah' show, integrating me into the lives of all the other characters on Wisteria Lane," Oprah explains. "I don't play myself. I play this character who moves to Wisteria Lane, meets the other housewives and goes through a series of antics with all of them. It is funny and one of the greatest things I have done, I tell you."
DIANE SAWYER took a trip down Wisteria Lane with the talented ladies of "Desperate Housewives" for an upcoming segments of "Primetime," airing Thursday, Feb. 3, and "Good Morning America," airing Friday, Feb. 4, both on ABC.
ET has a sneak peek at Diane's heart-wrenching conversation with NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN, who plays Edie, as she gets the actress to open up about the person who was a major inspiration in her life: her grandmother. Nicollette tears up as she tells Diane that it was her grandmother who served as her life's inspiration.
Wisteria Lane is the most talked about cul-de-sac on TV today, so when ET's KEVIN FRAZIER was invited to join the party on the "Desperate Housewives"' street, actually located on the backlot of Universal Studios, he put on his designer duds and headed out.
At first glance, Wisteria Lane appears to be just your average, upper-middle class neighborhood with lots of two-story homes with white picket fences, but not everything is as it seems. And Kevin quickly discovered that even the wisteria that creeps up the arbors and trellises on the oh-so-perfect looking lane is plastic!
