MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG has wrapped up her role -- for now -- as bad girl Georgina Sparks on "Gossip Girl" and will be hitting the race track as a newbie professional driver in ABC Family's "The Circuit," premiering Sunday, June 8 at 8 p.m.

"I got to be the girl in the fast lane," Michelle says in a one-on-one interview with ET. "I actually got to go behind the wheel of a real race car and whip it around the track. That was fun."

Former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG will be joining The CW hit "Gossip Girl" for several episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

On the show, Michelle will play a rival to "Gossip" star BLAKE LIVELY. Her character, fresh out of rehab, will be "shaking up and torturing" Blake's character, per the trade paper.

In this ugly-ducking-transforms-into-swan story, 18-year-old Michelle plays Casey, a brainy student on the fast track to Harvard under the tutelage of her strong-willed mother (played by JOAN CUSACK). But Casey dreams of being a championship skater, and when she gets the opportunity to train under her best friend Gen's (HAYDEN PANETTIERE) mom, played by Kim Cattrall, she puts her Harvard plans in jeopardy.
