Please allow me to introduce myself...MICK JAGGER, KEITH RICHARDS, CHARLIE WATTS and RONNIE WOOD -- aka the ROLLING STONES -- are talking about their new concert film, 'Shine a Light,' to ET!
"When you're shooting a concert, you don't quite know what's going to happen," Mick tells ET. "It's a bit of a wing and a prayer for everyone."
Start me up! MICK and the boys are back -- and this time they've teamed up with none other than director MARTIN SCORSESE to capture their hot-ticket concert action, onstage and off, in 'Shine a Light'! ET caught up with the band and their director this weekend to talk about the movie.
Fueled by the phenomenal Best Picture Oscar win of 'The Departed,' the film's writer and star are planning on adapting another Hong Kong remake. LEONARDO DiCAPRIO and Oscar-winning writer WILLIAM MONAHAN have acquired the rights to the cop thriller 'Confessions of Pain,' according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film follows a police detective and a private detective as they investigate the murder of the cop's father-in-law, which opens a Pandora's Box of evidence. 'Pain' was created by ALAN MAK, ANDREW LAU and FELIX CHONG, the men behind the Hong Kong-produced 'Infernal Affairs,' on which 'The Departed' was based.
The father of ROLLING STONES frontman MICK JAGGER passed away in England on Saturday at the age of 93.
A spokesperson for the singer said JOE JAGGER, a former school teacher, died of pneumonia at a hospital in Kingston, Surrey, just over a week after injuring himself during a fall at home.
It's been over 40 years since THE ROLLING STONES first played together on stage, and the self-professed "greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world" is still going strong with their explosive new album, A Bigger Bang!
Fans of "The Surreal Life" get ready for the spin-off! CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT, aka Peter Brady from the "Brady Bunch," and "America's Next Top Model" first-season winner ADRIANNE CURRY, who met and fell in love on "The Surreal Life," are getting their own show, "My Fair Brady," debuting Sunday, Sept. 11 at 9:30 p.m. on VH1. The new series is an intimate portrait of this spring-autumn romance. He is 47, one year younger than her dad; she is 22.
"I am totally fascinated with why I am in this relationship, a relationship I didn't want to be in," Chris comments; in part, agreeing to do the show, which gets a little sexy, was his way of looking at why he was there.
The countdown continues to the naming of JERRY HALL's "Kept" man when the VH1 reality series airs the "Spirituality" episode this week. All that remains of the original hunky harem of 15 are ANWAR, AUSTEN, MAURIZIO and SETH.
The four hopefuls have been through a lot to prove themselves to the former Mrs. MICK JAGGER: they studied cooking and threw a dinner party for her friends, they learned to play polo, they swam the Thames and they have done their best to try to acquire a bit of polish. After all, the prize -- the opportunity to live the posh rock 'n' roll lifestyle for a year -- is worth it.
Super model JERRY HALL is narrowing down the numbers on her search for a "Kept" man as she really gets the guys cooking! "Kept" began with 15 attractive men, ages 21 to 35, competing for the opportunity to live the posh rock 'n' roll lifestyle for a year. Now we're down to seven as only DEVONRIC, SETH, SLAVCO, AUSTEN, JON, MAURIZIO and ANWAR remain.
"These boys have been privileged to attend some very upscale dinners since they have been here," Jerry explains. "So for their next challenge, I want them to experience everything that goes into preparing such an evening. My 'Kept' man needs to know how to cook a proper meal for me and my girlfriends."
The countdown continues for DEVONRIC, SETH, RICARDO, SLAVCO, JASON, AUSTEN, JON, MAURIZIO and ANWAR, the nine remaining men who are hoping to be the one man "Kept" by VH1 reality star JERRY HALL at the series' finale.
But first, they have to impress, and on the "Houseguest" episode, airing Thursday, June 16 at 10 p.m., Jerry packs the hunky harem off to the country to stay with her friend LAWRENCE KENNEDY, who owns the haunted castle where ANNE BOLEYN used to live.
When JERRY HALL was asked by VH1 to fashion 15 attractive men, ages 21 to 35, into the perfect specimen to be "Kept" for a year, she thought, "What woman wouldn't want to mold a man into everything she wants?"
The games began on Sunday, May 29, and this Thursday, "Art and Etiquette," the third episode, airs at 9 p.m. In the hour-long show, Jerry puts the men through two challenges.
Like the U.S. Marine Corps., JERRY HALL is searching for a few good men to compete in VH1's new reality series, "Kept," which made its debut on Sunday, May 29 at 9 p.m. The series features 15 attractive men, ages 21 to 35, who will compete for the opportunity to live the posh rock 'n' roll lifestyle for a year.
"They're going to have to be a bit like SEAN CONNERY as James Bond, because I think he's heaven," Jerry tells ET. "Choosing men is just like choosing a diamond. You don't want to go for the man who's obviously flawed."
The 62nd Annual Golden Globe Nominations were announced Monday morning and as the nominees woke up -- or were woken up by their publicists and friends -- ET was on hand to get the stars' reactions to the happy news!
Seven-time Globe nominee NICOLE KIDMAN says she is proud to be nominated for her work in 'Birth.' "You try to stay pure and committed to what you believe and to your work without wavering no matter what you win or what you lose," she tells ET. "You try to know why you do it. I do it because I love to put complicated, interesting women on screen. To have it noticed like this is lovely. It says something in terms of the way in which people watch your body of work and follow it. I appreciate it.
Handsome JUDE LAW is on fire with a red-hot career -- and with the ladies as well -- in his new flick 'Alfie,' a re-creation of the 1966 MICHAEL CAINE favorite, in theaters Nov. 5!
"It's one of those films that takes place in the world of relationships, which is always relevant," Jude tells ET. "But Alfie's way of thinking, strangely enough, still has a place in all of us, even more than with just the male species."
From MICK JAGGER to OUTKAST and ALICIA KEYS to PRINCE, New York City welcomed music's soulsters, hipsters and funkiest rock and rollers Monday night for the "2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony."
Alicia was there to induct Prince into the Hall of Fame and couldn't say enough about everyone's fave purple-clad performer. "He's his own person. He does his own style, his own music. He defies all the rules and I think that's something to be very inspired by."
In the market for a new mansion? Tonight on ET, we visit the 10 most expensive mansions in America (that are for sale) according to Forbes.com, from MICK JAGGER's Long Island hideaway to the $40 million Palm Beach estate that was too small for MICHAEL JACKSON!
Near the top of the list is the Mandalay Ranch in Aspen, CO, owned by Hollywood producer and former Sony studio head PETER GUBER. For this 650-acre ranch, which includes wildflower meadows, a 15,000-square-foot main home and guest and caretaker cabins, Peter is looking for a cool $63 million. He originally only wanted to sell the land, but there was so much interest in the house that he threw that in too.
