After NBC Universal channel's new schedules were announced earlier today, the stars of NBC, Bravo, SciFi, USA, Oxygen and Telemundo hit the red carpet at Lincoln Center in New York City to celebrate. Current NBC stars TINA FEY and DONALD TRUMP joined Bravo's KATHY GRIFFIN and Oxygen's JANICE DICKINSON at the event, where they gabbed to ET about everything from MILEY CYRUS' controversial Vanity Fair pics, to the announcement that former "SNL" star JIMMY FALLON will succeed CONAN O'BRIEN on "Late Night." It's official! NBC has announced that JIMMY FALLON will take over for CONAN O'BRIEN on "Late Night" when Conan heads over to "The Tonight Show" to replace JAY LENO next year.

NBC will only be adding four new shows to its schedule this fall: "My Own Worst Enemy" starring CHRISTIAN SLATER, "Kath & Kim," an Australian import starring MOLLY SHANNON and SELMA BLAIR, "Knight Rider," which was introduced as a two-hour movie, and "Crusoe."
Fans of "Friday Night Lights" can rest easy. Despite the critically acclaimed show's so-so ratings, it is returning, but not until the winter. It will first air on DirecTV, as part of a special deal that NBC made in order to continue producing new episodes of the series.

Despite the writers strike still going strong, NBC late-night talkers "The Tonight Show with JAY LENO" and "Late Night with CONAN O'BRIEN" will return to the airwaves January 2 after two months of reruns, according to the Associated Press. The shows will return without writers.
The networks of NBC Universal have big plans for the upcoming Live Earth concerts that will occur around the globe on July 7, featuring heavy hitters such as KELLY CLARKSON, MADONNA, FALL OUT BOY, THE POLICE, KANYE WEST and more.
NBC plans to cover different aspects of the events on all of its networks that day, including a three-hour primetime special on NBC, a live 18-hour broadcast and "best of" moments from the concerts on Bravo, and other highlights on the Sundance Channel, Universal HD, Telemundo, CNBC and MSNBC.

Almost ten years after the finish of his mega-hit TV show, "Seinfeld," JERRY SEINFELD is returning to the small screen.
The comedian will create and star in 20 live-action "minisodes" inspired by his experiences making the upcoming Dreamworks animated film, 'Bee Movie.' The shorts will run this fall on NBC and NBC.com, and will chronicle the production of the film, and detail Seinfeld's behind-the-scenes experiences.
NBC announced their new fall schedule today, with several new shows added to the network's weekly line-up.
"Sex and the City" scribe CANDACE BUSHNELL returns to the tube with "Lipstick Jungle," a new series starring BROOKE SHIELDS, based on Bushnell's best-selling novel. The series, which debuts midseason after football wraps, will revolve around the lives of three of New York's most powerful women, played by Brooke, "24" star KIM RAVER and "90210" alum LINDSAY PRICE.

CHO SEUNG-HUI, the gunman believed to be responsible for Monday's Virginia Tech shootings, sent dozens of disturbing photographs, unsettling videos and a lengthy, 1800-word manifesto to NBC News on the day of the murderous rampage. Now, as the media is being criticized for airing the images, many networks are choosing to scale down their coverage.
"CBS News will utilize extreme caution in using any of the self-produced materials of Seung-Hui Cho," the network said today. "Usage must have the approval of the relevant executive producer and CBS News management."
JERRY SPRINGER will jump back into primetime as the new host of "America's Got Talent" when the variety-talent competition series returns to the network line-up this summer on NBC.
The 63-year-old TV personality and former politician charmed millions of viewers and quickly established himself as a fan favorite with his self-deprecating sense of humor and tireless efforts as a contestant on last season's "Dancing with the Stars."

ET has confirmed that "Scrubs" star JUDY REYES was hospitalized last Thursday after a Wednesday night fall in her home.
Reyes accidentally fell and fractured her pelvis but went to work the morning after the accident, believing the injury to be minor. She was taken to the hospital from the set after it became apparent that she needed medical attention.

NBC has responded to backlash from affiliates in Kentucky who were offended by the opening segment of the Emmys® telecast Sunday night, which featured host CONAN O'BRIEN in a plane crash skit -- -- a parody of the hit show "Lost."
But the NBC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky didn't find the joke so funny. TIM GILBERT, president of WLEX, said the station was "horrified" by the pre-recorded skit that aired the same day an airplane crashed in Lexington, killing 49 people.
