In a move suggested by CIRIE and carried out by NATALIE, the women convinced shaggy-haired, good-natured ERIK to give up his immunity necklace, before unceremoniously ousting the unsuspecting young ice cream scooper from Michigan from the game.

ALEXIS didn't even see it coming. Going into tribal council on Thursday night's episode of "Survivor," it seemed a foregone conclusion that favorite AMANDA would be going home. But when Amanda played the hidden immunity idol at the last minute, the course of the game changed.

The show opened with JAMES, the popular gravedigger from Louisiana, being evaluated by the medical team due to an infected cut on his finger. It was decided that if it wasn't better by the next day, he would have to go home.

JASON, the fan who admired favorite OZZY, got the chance to follow in his hero's footsteps on Thursday night's "Survivor," as he become the second consecutive contestant holding the immunity idol to get eliminated by duplicitous competitors.

The episode opened with the tribemates reeling from the effects of Ozzy's surprising exit. AMANDA was upset that PARVATI went behind her back to vote off her main squeeze, while JAMES was offended that Parvati had not only broken their alliance, but had seemingly dashed any future romantic hopes between the pair.

Thursday night's "Survivor" tribal council will go down in history, as the tribe backdoored a favorite to win the whole game -- OZZY.

The 26-year-old world traveler, who was born in Mexico and raised in the U.S. and Central America, excelled at challenges and took the reins as the natural leader of the game, even possessing the Immunity Idol. In the end, the confidence that propelled him to victories was his downfall, as his tribemates turned against him and secretly voted him out.
