Last week on "Grey's Anatomy," Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) gave their wedding to Izzie (Katherine Heigl) when it was discovered that she had a new brain tumor. "Grey's Anatomy" promised a wedding on Thursday night's episode, but it threw in a surprising curve. When it was discovered that Izzie (Katherine Heigl) had a new brain tumor, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) shelved their wedding plans and let Izzie and Alex (Justin Chambers) say their "I Do's" in their place.
It was a perfect wedding for Izzie, who had made all the arrangements from her hospital bed, as Meredith's bridesmaid. "Grey's Anatomy"'s two-hour finale airs next Thursday, May 14, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
