Petra is reportedly on a morphine drip in a Thai hospital after clinging to a tree for eight hours, weathering the devastation with a shattered pelvis and other internal injuries. The Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was vacationing with her photographer boyfriend, SIMON ATLEE, when the killer wave hit their beachfront bungalow. The intense current overtook Simon and he has not been seen since.

A surprise holiday vacation at an exotic Thai resort became a living nightmare for Czech supermodel PETRA NEMCOVA and her photographer boyfriend when this week's disastrous tsunami struck without warning, sweeping them away from their beachfront bungalow.

Speaking from a hospital bed in Thailand, the Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model said she and her boyfriend of two years, British fashion photographer SIMON ATLEE, heard screaming and tried to get to the roof of their wooden bungalow, but were overtaken by the powerful waves. Petra was able to keep her head above water, but the 33-year-old Simon was sucked under and disappeared amid the churning debris. The 25-year-old model was able to grab onto a palm tree and cling to safety for a remarkable eight hours as she watched screaming people and dead bodies wash by, all the while suffering from internal injuries and a shattered pelvis.
