The Sundance Film Festival is just around the corner, celebrating its 25th anniversary this coming January, and the slate of new films in competition feature some serious Hollywood star power, from Chris Rock, Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon to Mariah Carey, Paul Giamatti and Kevin Bacon!
The cast of the big-screen 'Mamma Mia!' – from Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan to Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard and Amanda Seyfried -- assembled at New York's Ziegfeld Theatre Wednesday night to premiere their ABBA-tastic musical -- and ET was there!
Danny DeVito is set to direct his own adapted screenplay, 'The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle,' which will star Pierce Brosnan, Morgan Freeman and 14-year-old Saoirse Ronan.
A press release said the family action adventure, set in 1832, is the story of a daring young girl (Ronan) who braves the dangerous high seas aboard a ship with a ruthless captain and a mutinous crew. It’s based on the top-selling, award winning novel of the same name.

In the Broadway smash-turned-big screen musical, Amanda Seyfried stars as a blushing bride who invites three men to a Greek island -- all of whom could be her father! Meryl Streep stars as the mother of the bride, while Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard co-star as possible papas. The movie musical, which hits theaters on July 18, takes its music from hit '70s band ABBA.

More stars have signed on to dig in the "Dancing Queen," as they get set to sing alongside former 007 PIERCE BROSNAN and 'The Devil Wears Prada' star MERYL STREEP in the big-screen version of the hit musical Mamma Mia!, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Mr. Darcy himself, COLIN FIRTH ('Bridget Jones' Diary'), joins STELLAN SKARSGARD ('Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest') and CHRISTINE BARANSKI ('Chicago') for the flick, which begins shooting this June in London and Greece.

Former 007 PIERCE BROSNAN has been cast opposite MERYL STREEP in the big-screen version of the hit musical Mamma Mia! Pierce will play one of three men who may be the father of a young woman who is trying to determine her roots. The film begins shooting this June in London and Greece.
The role requires Pierce to belt out some great ABBA tunes, and the former James Bond -- who sang onstage in his early career -- says he is looking forward to a duet with Streep.
