A source is telling the Chicago Sun-Times today that she received daily calls from her ex-husband and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.

RICHIE SAMBORA has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence in Laguna Beach, CA.

Sambora was sentenced to three years of informal probation, three months of first offender alcohol awareness classes and standard fees. He was also ordered to not partake of any drugs or alcohol for the duration of his probation. His attorney appeared on his behalf in court.

ET confirms that RICHIE SAMBORA has been charged with two misdemeanor counts for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or more. Although the BON JOVI guitarist was driving with two minors when he was arrested on March 25, he will not be charged with child endangerment despite the police recommendation.

According to numerous reports, RICHIE SAMBORA's 10-year-old daughter AVA was in the car with him when he was stopped on suspicion of DUI. Police confirmed to ET that one adult woman and two juvenile females were in the car when Sambora was pulled over. Ava's mom is Sambora's ex, actress HEATHER LOCKLEAR.

Police confirm to ET that three females were in the car with RICHIE SAMBORA when he was pulled over on suspicion of DUI. They also note that two of the females were juveniles but they could not comment on who the children were.

Police also tell ET that the results of Sambora's blood tests, which won't be back for at least a week, will be handed over to the Harbor Court district attorney's office to decide what charges will be filed.

RICHIE SAMBORA is speaking candidly about what he was dealing with when he entered rehab last year.

"I got divorced [from HEATHER LOCKLEAR], I was going through a custody battle, I was having alcohol addiction problems, my dad was dying," the BON JOVI guitarist tells People before the band's benefit concert Tuesday at Manhattan's Hammerstein Ballroom. "It was a gang tackle from hell, basically," he adds. "And crawling out of that wreckage was a very triumphant victory."

We caught up with Richie and JON BON JOVI on the red carpet -- when asked how he's doing, Richie responded, "I'm doing great, thanks so much for your concern."

JUST IN TODAY: BON JOVI's rep tells ET that guitarist RICHIE SAMBORA has completed his stay at a treatment facility in Los Angeles.

"Richie Sambora has completed a program at the UCLA Medical Center," the rep said in a statement. "He is doing well and continues to receive outside support."

After dating for almost a year, DENISE RICHARDS and RICHIE SAMBORA have ended their relationship amicably, as first reported by In Touch Weekly magazine. ET confirms that the couple actually split a few months ago.
