Courteney talks to ET about the first season DVD and what fans can look forward to when "Dirt" returns for its second season of scandal and sleaze!
COURTENEY COX, now in production on the second season of "Dirt," FX's look at the no-holds-barred world of celebrity journalism, took time out to talk to ET about the show and its first season DVD.
"I think they like the show," the former "Friends" star says of the paparazzi. "I think they get a kick out of a show that is about them. So, I think they are nicer to me than they used to be, but not all of them, of course."
His famous siblings include ROSANNA, PATRICIA and DAVID ARQUETTE, and he calls COURTENEY COX his sister-in-law.
But now ALEXIS ARQUETTE is commanding the spotlight with 'Alexis Arquette: She's My Brother,' an A&E Indie Film which makes its world premiere Monday at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
The ARQUETTE family has conquered stage and screen: ROSANNA has starred on TV and in more than 50 films; PATRICIA is also a film star and the Emmy-winning star of "Medium"; DAVID has starred in the 'Scream' film series, just wrote and directed the indie horror flick 'The Tripper' and produces the FX series "Dirt" with wife COURTENEY COX.
But ALEXIS ARQUETTE may have the most interesting lifestyle of the entire family: He's the brother who wants to be a sister!
When ABC gave the green light to a second season of "What About Brian," it came as a surprise to a lot of folks, including J.J. ABRAMS, one of the series' executive producers.
"When it got picked up, I have to admit I was a little surprised," J.J. confesses. "ABC just brought the show back because they liked it. The female contingent embraced the characters and storylines, so I am grateful to ABC that they brought it back. I think their expectations are realistic. They don't expect it to beat everything. I think they are simply looking for it to do better than it did last year."
As part of its ongoing effort to help change the future of young people for the better, the Children's Health Environmental Coalition (CHEC) held its "Healthy Earth - Healthy Child" benefit Thursday evening at the home of JENA and MICHAEL KING (KingWorld Productions).
Our own CHERYL WOODCOCK attended the star-studded event and mingled with the likes of PAUL REISER, JOHN CUSACK, and ROSANNA ARQUETTE.
DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT trades in his Navy duds from "JAG" for a nice suit and tie, when he guest stars on the season finale of "Medium," airing Monday, May 22 at 10 p.m.
"I want to work with all the ARQUETTES," says David, who is playing PATRICIA ARQUETTE's husband in the episode. "I worked with DAVID, Patricia and ROSANNA, and then I am on to the 'Surreal Life' with ALEXIS," he jokes.
NICOLE RICHIE makes her big screen debut in the indie film 'Kids In America,' along with JULIE BOWEN, ROSANNA ARQUETTE and ELIZABETH PERKINS.
The film had its world premiere on Monday night, and ET was on the red carpet to get the inside story on what Nicole is up to now that "The Simple Life" will not be returning for its fourth season.
When Showtime airs its powerful documentary "Searching for Debra Winger," on August 18, at 8 p.m., SHARON STONE, DIANE LANE, MELANIE GRIFFITH, WHOOPI GOLDBERG and DARYL HANNAH candidly address the obstacles that actresses face in Tinseltown, among them the importance of a youthful appearance.
"The reality is most people are like me," Whoopi says. "I am cute, but honey, this is Hollywood. This is a different world. We see it because all these women cut their bodies up, and they cut their faces up."
