ET confirmed Thursday that an attorney told a judge that Jamie Spears and Sam Lutfi had reached a private agreement and a hearing regarding continuing a restraining order against Lutfi had been taken off schedule indefinitely, meaning the case is over.
Regardless of that, Britney's lawyer told the Associated Press on Wednesday: "Britney has made clear to everyone that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama 'Sam' Lutfi, now or at anytime in the future."
ET confirms that SAM LUTFI, the man who was once known as BRITNEY SPEARS' manager, must keep out of the pop star's life for at least another two-and-a-half months. See the papers here.
Lutfi's restraining order was continued through 8 a.m. on July 31. "The terms remain in place and in full force until that time," a Court rep tells ET.
SAM LUTFI filed papers Friday that objected to the commissioner assigned to BRITNEY SPEARS' conservatorship and who has ruled on an order of protection against him, according to the Associated Press.
Lutfi was Britney's ever-present companion from late 2007 until her second hospitalization in January, and was known as her manager. However, when conservators took over Britney's life and finances last month, they requested and were granted a restraining order.
The restraining order that prevents SAM LUTFI from contacting or being in the presence of BRITNEY SPEARS will be extended by another 30 days, according to the Associated Press.
Lutfi was Britney's ever-present companion from late 2007 until her second hospitalization in January, and was known as her manager. However, when conservators took over Britney's life and finances last month, they requested and were granted a restraining order.
Only hours after SAM LUTFIwas served with a temporary restraining order that prevents him from seeing or contacting BRITNEY SPEARS, a Los Angeles judge extended that order until March 17, according to People magazine.
The restraining order that Lutfi was served with this morning would have expired tomorrow, but People reports that a federal judge extended that order late Thursday. Britney's father, JAMIE SPEARS, who is currently co-conservator of the pop princess and her estate, had asked for the order to be extended until the judge can rule on a federal court challenge to her conservatorship.
According to People, BRITNEY SPEARS' friend SAM LUTFI was served Thursday morning with the temporary restraining order asked for three weeks ago by her co-conservators, her father, JAMIE, and attorney, ANDREW WALLET.
Despite rumors circulating on the Internet that officials are investigating BRITNEY SPEARS' friend SAM LUTFI, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department tells ET, "There is no investigation into Sam allegedly medicating Britney."
BRITNEY SPEARS' father JAMIE SPEARS' co-conservatorship over her estate has been extended to March 10. He was also granted additional powers of control over her taxes and trust.
It was also announced in court that SAM LUTFI has not been served with a restraining order that was issued on February 1. He is supposed to appear in court February 22, and if he hasn't been served by then, the judge will reissue the order.
Per Los Angeles Superior Court, BRITNEY SPEARS' self-proclaimed "manager" has not been served with the restraining order that was issued by the pop star's parents last week.
SAM LUTFI, the self-proclaimed manager and constant companion to BRITNEY SPEARS over the past several months, is speaking out on allegations that he drugged the troubled pop star without her knowledge.
In shocking new court documents related to a restraining order filed on behalf of BRITNEY SPEARS against her self-styled manager SAM LUTFI, her parents claim that he drugged Britney, amongst other claims.
Britney's mom, LYNNE SPEARS, filed a six page declaration that includes the following allegations: that Sam told her that he ground up drugs and gave them to Britney, disabled the phones in her home and hid her cell phone chargers, disabled Britney's cars, told Britney that she had to take the drugs he gave her to get her kids back, told Lynne and a friend to tell Britney that her recent boyfriend ADNAN GHALIB is gay, that Sam hides Britney's dog London, and also that Sam told Lynne: "If you try to get rid of me, she'll be dead and I'll piss on her grave."
BRITNEY SPEARS remains hospitalized under psychiatric supervision as of Saturday morning, according to the Associated Press.
As ET reported yesterday, the troubled pop star was placed under the full temporary custody of her father JAMIE through Monday after the L.A. Superior Court determined that she was unable to take care of herself or manage her finances.
In the aftermath of a day that saw BRITNEY SPEARS placed in the care of her father JAMIE and a restraining order issued against Britney's friend and manager SAM LUTFI, ET is on the scene in L.A. for the post-hearing press conference. Get the latest on Britney's new living arrangement and how long will it last, right here!
ET confirms that a restraining order has been issued against BRITNEY SPEARS' friend and manager SAM LUTFI by her parents, JAMIE and LYNNE. Father Jamie has just been appointed Britney's conservator through Monday.
If the restraining order is petitioned, Feb. 24 is the earliest it can be revisited. Keep checking back here for more details as the story develops!
